I went to the Holt Renfrew Chanel on Bloor St today. They were really nice. The stand-alone store across the street had BITCCCCHHHHYYYYYY people. I held the door open for myself and the sale lady goes through it herself!!! Then while I was in there looking at sunglasses, the lady goes in FRONT of me (between the display and me) to wipe down the counters. WTF???? Are you serious? Ugh. I will definitely be buying from the Holt's location.

The Chanel glasses with the crystal CC surrounded with starbursts (sorry not sure what it's called) is $755.

The ones with the large CC logo in crystal lines (like this: (|||||) was $598.

The Caviar GST with gold hardware is $1825 (i went and confirmed). I asked about price increase and the lady said, could be...i'm not sure. Oh well.

The classic ballet flats are $525 (I saw Beige, white, and black with black toe cap)

The peeptoe patent leather flats with metallic sole (at the toe part) are $600.

The cashmere (I think?) logo knit cap/beanie was $500. I saw light gray + ivory and another color (forgot).

The Holts in Vancouver kinda sucks. There ladies there don't even know what I'm talking about when I ask them stuff.

I think I did see the dangley earrings there when I look on Saturday. They also had the Gold patent bowler in too. I don't know what size it is but it looks huge. Also saw a 228 reissue in black with gold chain too.

SA at Holts Calgary confirmed there will be a price increase on October 1st

Sounds like I won't be able to beat the increase for my GST!!!

^^ Really?!! (I thought the date was Nov.1?) Yikes, I better get my E/W flap this weekend!! Actually, I've always had good service when I go to the Chanel store on Bloor St. I always take my time to look at the bags and try them on. The Sales Reps have always been helpful to me. The doorman even says 'Have a nice day'.

Azia - sorry you've had bad experiences at the Chanel Store. I didn't even know there is a Chanel section at Holt's!

I thought it was Nov 1st too, but the SA sounded kind of sure and then she checked and she confirmed it...I'm hoping somehow she's wrong...maybe it's not an increase, rather, just an "adjustment".

ANYHOW...apparently there are still no black GST with silver hardware...so I may have to buy one from the US instead...although customs will KILL ME!!!!!

Yep, they just opened it this year! It's really nice and cozy in there. :)

does anyone know which items will have a price increase? does it include wallets too?

this would be my first chanel purchase and i'm honestly feeling rushed to get it now due to the price increase on the 1st. i wonder if it's gonna be busy this weekend at the chanel at holts here in calgary. might need to get something tomorrow. my problem is i am not sure whether to get the medallion tote or medium black caviar flap. i might also get a wallet now if that's gonna go up in price too.

i don't know what i should get first. i like that the medallion is practical for everyday use but it may not be as classic as a chanel flap...hmmn...ur thoughts on this?

sorry..newbie here.. which one is e/w? thanks :-)

Oct 1st? Thats fast.... I hope its an adjustment. The SA in Calgary said the last time it went up $300-400 she said she was able to get the lower price still for a week for her customers.

hmmm, I'm wondering: with the CAD $ being where it is in comparison with the USD $, wouldn;'t it be cheaper to be in the US? This is of course if someone was going south.

^ Yes, of course! But the problem is....not all of us can get to the US. Like for me, it's only 90 minutes to the border, but a few more hours to anywhere that actually carries Chanel. Sighhhhh. :( :( :(
