Default Chanel in Amsterdam
Just bought my first Chanel from the boutique in Amsterdam and was very impressed with their service, though the collection was pretty small.

But when the service is amazing, one does want to go back and revisit the experience.

i didn't pay much attention to whatever else was in the store when i was there 2 weeks ago because i knew what i wanted, and i got the last piece! the jumbo caviar s/w at EUR1870 (inclusive vat).

headed there again in september and dying to relive the experience again.

anyone have any idea what else is in store there i could look forward to?

i'm hoping to get my 2nd chanel in grey if they might possibly have it!

I bought my first Chanel in Amsterdam today,
and they are really so nice.
Especially the french lady named Lorraine.
She showed me lots of things and i left with a classic flap medium and a camelia black ring,
I tried on a necklace that i can't get out of my head

i just shopped at chanel amsterdam today. bought sunglasses with code 5138. i shop there more than 3 times because i live here since 2 years ago. sometimes the SA are nice, sometimes they don't. i don't know why. maybe they see me a young girl that cannot afford to buy one. but michelle, okki and there is 1 guy (i don't know the name) are very nice for sure, the rest is so so.

Default Stocks in Amsterdam
i dropped by again yesterday and will be headed there on friday again, since i found out that they have shipments every thursday, but they won't know what will come in. i'm really looking forward to friday because i didn't find anything that i really really couldn't live without.

i loved the grey jumbo, but was very hesitant with lambskin because i'm a horrendous clutz.

the 2.55 in offwhite was also beautiful in distressed leather... i will have to think hard about it.

apparently the lady that served me yesterday that was completely lovely and so patient and offered great advice turned out to be the boutique director. i only found out when she gave me her namecard. such a lovely lady!

oh yes.. and when i couldn't leave with a bag i wanted, i left with a pair of my first ever chanel earrings.

Wheeee!

Yes, his name is Corne, he's very friendly, he helped me last Friday. The store manager is Jeannine. That day I tried a Jumbo in a taupe/brown lambskin with shw and now I'm still thinking about it, don't know if I have to go for it or not .

i tried on that too... and the grey XL. it was divine the grey XL lambskin, almost bought it but then there was this little mark on the cover of the flap that seemed to grow larger and larger when i looked at it.. and figured that i shouldn't.

the 2.55 black distressed was also divine! and now i keep thinking about it.

the next trip will be in feb, so hopefully it'll be s/s '10!

The 2.55 is also very nice. I decided to pass on the taupe lambskin because I'm more a caviar girl.
But I can't wait for the '10 cruise m/l red . I also like the 09 A blue fonce in m/l but they didn't have it.

there was a red bowler quilt when i was in the store last week, not sure if it is still there....

but if there isn't the 2.55... the bowler hobo is an alternative! or... i will wait patiently till feb.

by the way, anyone has ideas on when the sale seasons are in amsterdam?

I visited chanel Amsterdam today to check if they already received their new stock, the classic M/L flap that I want. Too bad they don't have it yet . I looked around and asked if I can try on the caviar baguette. The SA showed it to me and I tried it on. It does look nice but somehow I like the M/L better. So I decided not to get the baguette and wait for the M/L.

Before I gave it back to the SA, I was checking the straps since I read on the tpf that the straps of the newer version flaps is not stitched anymore instead it is glued. Guess what, the baguette's straps are glued. I asked the SA is it new that chanel glues their straps? And her answer is, “yes of course they glue it, otherwise how else can you stick such a thin leather together”. I was like … what??? At the same time, I was checking the straps of a jumbo lambskin which lays there and it is stitched. So I asked her again, if you say so why are these straps stitched? And she looked shocked and then quickly said … “well, it is both glued and stitched but you will get a new bag if your straps peel off “…. I was again … what ?? I mean …. I rather have a bag which doesn’t need to be returned than hearing that the bag’s straps might peel off.

I am so surprised with her answer. She sounded so sure at the beginning and when I confronted her with an evidence, which was obviously in front of us, she gave another answer right away.

Anybody knows how much the reissue in Chanel Amsterdam is?

How much is the VAT there? And how much VAT will be refunded for tourist?

Thanks in advance!

Which reissue do you mean? I think the 225 is the same price as the M/L lambskin classic flaps (Eur 1890). Last weekend when I visited them, the did not have that many reissue. They only have the big one (228 I guess in black and 225 white) You better phone them in advance to ask bout their stock.

The VAT in here is 19% but I am not sure if you will get the whole amount back ... I heard that you might only be refunded around 12%.
