Can you help me locate either a Red or Light Beige Claire in GHW

Hi to all of you gorgeous Chanel ladies!

My hunt have been very frustrating for almost a month now. I called the Chanel 800 number, Beverly Hill's Saks, NM and Chanel boutique and they all said they sold out on the Red or Light Beige Claire in Gold Hardware.

I'm wondering if stores in out of state still have it in stock. I prefer large size in caviar.

Please help....

I'm passing on the 09 Red for now and will check out the 2010 cruise red since it comes with GHW.

Can I ask why you get the m/l vs jumbo? I'm still gonna confirm the size tomorrow since I'm undecided on it still. I'm 5'2" and 115 lbs., what do you suggest? I intend to use it even when going to work.

Hi! I decided on the medium for a few reasons. First of all, my absolute favorite size for flaps is and always has been the medium flap. I realize that it may not be the most practical of sizes (and lots of ladies here seem to think it's too tiny haha), but oftentimes, the most beautiful things aren't so practical haha. Second, I wanted to use this particular bag for dressier occasions, and I felt that the medium size was perfect for that... add in the gold h/w, and you have a home run!

Third, I already have the "old" beige medium caviar flap with silver h/w, so I wanted something in gold h/w. Last but not least, light colored Jumbo flaps (caviar or not) freak me out a bit (more high maintenance), so having just one ('05A cream) is enough for me.

If you intend to use the bag when going to work, etc. and want to carry more than just the bare necessities, the medium may be too small for you. It depends. Are you carrying the bag just as your "purse" (meaning with non-work items) or as a "work" bag?

I don't really take my height/weight into account when deciding on the size for a bag (rather, what I'm instinctively drawn to), because both the medium and Jumbo look fine on me... they are just very different looks. So, I choose color/hardware combination's based upon my intended usage.

For instance, I use my Jumbo flaps during the day (not an evening bag for me) and can carry a lot in them (although in general, I don't carry much). My medium flaps are dressier and/or casual (I LOVE carrying them single strapped) and fit my essentials. I suppose you sacrifice practicality for beauty with the medium, but it's a sacrifice I'm definitely willing to make! So, I guess you have to determine if you are!

vans, you know i'm biased ... but if you don't intend to use a 2nd bag, i agree, go jumbo... in black!

I agree with minal, the medium is my fave in terms of classic Chanel beauty even though it may not be the most practical!

That is very nicely put Minal...as much as I want to use the beige as an everyday work bag, I already have a workhouse with my LV and Prada totes, as it is, I'm leaning more on the m/l size.

I ordered both the medium and jumbo in the beige caviar with gold hardware. I decided to keep the medium and returned the jumbo yesterday. It is such a gorgeous bag! I liked the medium on me better - I am 5'5" and 120. I don't really buy based on my height and weight though, as I love large bags and smaller ones depending on how I want to wear them and with what. Mostly, for me, this bag is so classic and can go from day to evening in the medium more so than the large. With that being said, my SA carries her jumbo day and evening, so I think it really depends on the person and what you are comfortable with. I also like the medium carried with the single chain as well as the chain doubled, whereas with the jumbo I only liked it with the chain doubled. That's my $.02 worth! Enjoy whatever you decide - it so beaurtiful and goes with everything...you can't go wrong.
