Please post authenticity questions related to CHANEL in this thread. This thread is a continuation of the previous Authentication thread that has been closed for posting.

Please follow the following rules:

Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated. This is in order to prevent duplication requests and to make it more simple for people to 'search' for items which may have been posted previously. This is not a thread to ask general questions about CHANEL, please refer to our main CHANEL forum for such information.

This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

It is really imperative that you first get the right pictures needed to properly authenticate CHANEL items. Please read this and get the requested pics before you post your request in the Authenticate This thread.

PHOTOS NEEDED TO DETERMINE AUTHENTICITY OF CLASSIC FLAP BAGS

1) front, back, and side/bottom views of bag

2) CHANEL stamp and MADE IN FRANCE/ITALY stamp (note: in vintage bags, the MADE IN FRANCE/ITALY stamp is directly across the CHANEL stamp on the opposite side). A focused close up photo is required.

3) back side of the CC turnknob showing the 2 screws and CHANEL/PARIS engraving. A focused close up photo is required.

PHOTOS NEEDED TO DETERMINE AUTHENTICITY OF SUNGLASSES/GLASSES

We decided to no longer authenticate sunglasses/glasses. Best to buy them from CHANEL boutiques, department stores, opticians or reputable authorized (online) retailers.

PHOTOS NEEDED TO DETERMINE AUTHENTICITY OF COSTUME JEWELRY

1) front and back views of jewelry

2) oval etching or oval plate showing the markings (CHANEL, MADE IN FRANCE/ITALY, year/season). If there's no oval plate, then please check for any other markings you can find. A focused close up photo is required.

3) Chanel box with label, if applicable

4) black tag with label *showing the style number, year/season, etc), if applicable

PHOTOS NEEDED TO DETERMINE AUTHENTICITY OF BELTS

1) front and back side of belt

2) markings on back side of belt (if leather) showing the CHANEL/MADE IN FRANCE or ITALY stamp and EURO size

This bag is authentic. As stated in the listing, the bag is an older model showing some wear, wrinkling, chipped overlay on the hardware, and missing its authenticity card. The price is pretty fair.
