Hi, is this bag authentic? The leather is very soft, but there are no markings whatsoever inside...not even a sticky residue where the hologram sticker would be and the zippers are plastic and do not have DMC, Lampo, Ep or YKK on them either, but the seller said she had it authenticated by a Chanel boutique and she said vintage purses may not have those things.

IMO it's fake. If it has the CCs it's from the 80s; as such, it would say CHANEL with the R for registered trademark and Made in France (or Italy) inside. If those markings are not there, it's fake. That zipper pull is not something Chanel used, but it has appeared on more than one fake bag's zipper.

That's what I thought..I mean how could there not be ANY markings at all?? She says it was purchased by her mother in the 80s or early 90s and recently got it authenticated and they said it was worth $850. She says I need an authorized dealer to support my claim and then she'll refund my money, however I know Chanel boutiques don't do authentication services at all so I don't know who I can get to authenticate it.

To prove up a claim of not authentic, you'll have to get someone like Caroldiva.com to write you a letter stating the bag is not authentic. Paypal will accept something on paper from an "expert," doesn't necessarily have to be from Chanel. File a claim (not a dispute) with Paypal and they'll start the process as long as it hasn't been more than 45 days from the date of the sale.

Yes, this is authentic.

Probably rather small for an every day bag, but only you can answer that.

This is FAKE; all the bags sold on this site are fake. You can check ebay for same/similar styles and post the link here if you want authentication.
