Hi ladies! I need your help!! It's my birthday coming up and, of course, I want to expand my Celine collection! I have to opportunity to get a Large Phantom - taupe with purple piping or the small light grey croc embossed. I found pics of the light grey croc-it's beautiful of course but I've never seen a phantom that is taupe with purple piping (actually the SA described it as purplish/blue). Has anyone seen a picture of this or own one? I'm also struggling with the large Phantom size. I'm 5'8 and think I could pull off the large but not sure. Soooo.....the end result is I need the wonderful ladies from TPF to help me out on this one! TIA ladies!

Ok decided to go with the small grey croc embossed phantom! If anyone is interested n the taupe w piping let me know & I'll PM u my SA information. :-)

Thanks!! I'm very excited. It's being shipped as we speak! The taupe with blue piping was so gorgeous. The SA sent me pics but I just think the bag would've been way too big.

The Grey Croc Embossed Phantom of this season is called nubuck, kind of like suede. It is not like the Black Croc which is stamped regular leather.

oh ok. For a while there, I got excited i live in a tropical country, so suede is not practical

Oh gosh! Now I'm nervous! I particularly told the SA that I wanted all leather-no suede. The picture she sent looks like leather but I will def freak out if it is a suede type material.

Suede isn't practical for me either. The SA said it was leather & not suede.

Oh no. My worst fears are confirmed. It IS nubuck leather. I did NOT want anything suede. Don't know if I should cancel the order or wait to see what it looks like. I wanted a croc embossed phantom but don't want the black one since I have so many black bags already. Blah. I'm irritated!!!

nubuck is not suede....i just kind of soft leather ( softer than regular leather)... i personally dont like suede ( i own one and its really hard to take care so...)but i like nubuck a lot

Thanks so much for replying. I feel better now. How do you care for the nubuck? I read that it is fairly delicate. Do you use any kind of protective spray?

May i know if this is the one that u ordered? I luv this grey soooooo much~~~I am still debating if i should get this or the black stamped croc....


But the more i look at this pic....the more i luv this bag....This grey is so much better isn't it?

i am not a really careful person when it comes to bag and i find that their bags are really easy to get color tranfer no matter what kind of leather they are...the only the protection that i do is i usually wear legging when i carry celine bag~~~ other than that nothing else

Yes this is the one I chose. The grey is such a beautiful color. I love the black as well but have so many black bags that I don't need another. ;-)

I'm hoping that I love it as much as the picture as soon as it arrives!
