Hi, Ladies
I am in a delimma now. I like camel first and then start to fall in love with dune. i like camel but wish it is not too tan. Also, i am worried that dune will be too light for winter use. I have not seen neither in person. I know camel comes in smooth and dune in pebbled. Does same color have different apperance in different type of leather?
Could you help me choose which color to get and why?
btw, which leather holds shape better, smooth or pebbled?

smooth def. holds its shape better than pebbled. Both of these two colors are hard to find in micro, but my suggestion to you is to try both of them before you make a purchase.

Hi, do you find smooth leather is very hard to maintain than drummed? I like the look of smooth but i'm not so gentle with my bags so i am afraid i would ruin the beauty of smooth leather. Thanks!

I don't find smooth leather hard to maintain at all. I condition my smooth minis with Obenauf's before carrying it, been carrying my smooth navy almost daily the last 3-4 months and I don't baby it, so far no scratches and it looks great.

I don't think the camel is too tan. I don't like tan coloured bags personally, as the don't suit my skintone but the camel is a lovely subtly neutral, just a couple of shades darker than Dune, IMO.

I vote for Dune. The color is beautiful and the perfect neutral color. I think Dune is very versatile and can be used for any season.

Hi - I have the mini in camel and love it. Dune is really pretty too but I think camel is a more year round neutral (just my opinion). I've found that the camel is a great almost taupe color - no yellowish undertones that some camels can have. Since you like both camel and dune about equally I think your real choice should be smooth or pebbled leather. Pebbled can probably stand a little more abuse - less potential for scratching issues - but the kicker for me is that the smooth is leather lined. I adore bags with leather lining so it was a no-brainer for me. Hope that helps!

Do you condition it every time you carry it? I'm thinking of the micro smooth in camel or black. It is going to be my first Celine, which one should i get? The camel is available for me now.

Thanks a lot for your input. I do like the luxury look of smooth leather. But i adore the casuel look of pebbled as well.

I am a pebbled leather fan since I don't like scratches very well. I do think that the micro in pebbled will hold its shape better than the mini. It feels more structured in the smaller size. Have you looked into the souris? It is a dark taupe color and it is a great neutral that won't have any color transfer.
