OMG oh no this is really the saddest thing to me. He is such a good man, devoted husband, does charity... this is awful. He is in my prayers. He is one of the truly good ones out there.

Get rid of the "sad" on the end of it.

Here is a link that works. I hope it is not true, there has been buzz for a while that his health was failing. All profits from the food products that bear his name go to charity. Not a percentage. All.

He is a good man.

Thanks so much Shimma. So awful. I "met" Paul Newman a very very long time ago. I was showing my horse at a horse show in Del Mar, Calif. A nice man wearing a baseball cap, jeans and cotton button down asked if he could snap my picture. He was taking pictures of a lot of the kids with their horses. I thought he was a horse show dad, and I said "sure".
After he snapped a quick picture my horse trainer walked up and said "do you know who that was"? Of course, I did not, I told him. He replied "Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward"..

Yes. Very. His "Hole in the Wall" Camp for children with cancer is located here in CT (as well as his home in Westport). He is a GIANT among philanthropists. I so admire him for his great and generous heart.

There should be more people in the world like Paul Newman. A great man.

Sad. I hate to be morbid, but death in celebs comes in threes:

Bernie Mac
Isaac Hayes........

Oh, yeah...I read about this. So very sad. Hopefully his last days won't be too painful, and he'll make the transition smoothly!
