Madonna buys sixth London home for £6 million
Madonna has spent more than £6 million buying her sixth London property.


The American singer and her husband Guy Ritchie last week signed a contract on the 10-bedroom Georgian townhouse in London's Marylebone.
It adjoins the eight-bedroom property the couple live in with children Lourdes, 10, and Rocco, six.

DESCRIPTION: White, who purchased the house in 2003 for $524,000, according to public records, had been trying to sell the house. He first listed it for $930,000 last year and later reduced it to $650,000, the paper reported.
There’s some difference of opinion on the year that the house was built. Public records state that it was built in 1916, while the Journal reported that it was built in 1914. In either case, the house was designed by noted architect C. Howard Crane and was built for a prominent attorney. Features in the four-bedroom house include a paneled library, a sunroom, Pewabic tile throughout the house, and a garden with a koi pond and fountain, the paper reported. The property sits on a 1.12-acre lot, according to public records.
The house also is where White recorded the White Stripes’ 2005 album “Get Behind Me Satan.,” according to reports.
White has taken plenty of heat for negative comments about Detroit. As such, he has relocated to Nashville, Tenn., where he paid $3,115,000 in December 2005, according to public records, to buy a 10,261-square-foot house at 5055 Franklin Park in Nashville’s Oak Hill area. Built in 1910, White’s new house has seven bedrooms and nine baths and sits on a 6.89-acre parcel, according to public records. White purchased the Nashville property in the name of a manager of his, Robert L. Scruggs.
