Cage is in the final stages of buying the classical $8 (US aprox) million Georgian property above The house came onto the market two years ago when the owner, a publishing tycoon who used it as a second home, decided to sell up and move back to London The property is situated on The Circus, a curved millionaire's row in the heart of Bath, Somerset Hollywood superstar Nicolas Cage has snapped up a £4 million town house in one of Britain's most prestigious addresses. The Oscar-winning actor is in the final stages of buying a classical Georgian property situated on The Circus, a curved millionaire's row in the heart of Bath, Somerset. Once the home of the Earl of Chatham, it boasts an indoor swimming pool, grand staircase, five bathrooms and six bedrooms spread over five storeys. The 9,000 sq ft pad has a 30ft kitchen, south-facing terrace and large garden and is considered the "principal house" in the 18th century Circus. Cage, 43, uses his trust Hancock Park Real Estate to acquire properties worldwide. His portfolio includes several properties in Los Angeles, a castle in Germany and a whole island in the Bahamas. Estate agent Knight Frank confirmed the property is under offer and refused to deny rumours that Cage was the buyer. Chris Hart, department head at Knight Frank, said the property had been bought by a trust. He added: "Obviously Knight Frank is obliged not to divulge information we're not given the authorisation to divulge." Neighbours also confirmed sightings of the star of Leaving Las Vegas, Adaptation and new release Next on the Circus within the last six months. One resident said she knew from two trusted sources that the rumours were true, and that the transaction was due to be completed at the end of May or June. Another resident in the Circus, who did not want to be named, said she understood that Cage did not plan to live at the address permanently. She said: "We're told he has bought it, but don't think we'll see him here. I don't think he's completed the sale yet. "Our daughter saw him in the Circus six months ago." The house came onto the market two years ago when the owner, a publishing tycoon who used it as a second home, decided to sell up and move back to London. It was on the market for with a guide price of £4 million for some 18 months before an offer was accepted. The Circus was designed by architect John Wood the Elder in 1754 and the arc of town houses became Britain's first circular street and a major landmark. Architects describe the Grade 1 listed homes as the "best examples of classical urban architecture in Britain" characterised by tiers of columns and ornate facades. Bath is fast becoming one of the most exclusive places to live in the world - with the city's top estate agents keeping a list of people ready to buy houses for millions. House prices in the area have trebled in the past two years and many of the largest homes are changing hands for so much money the figures are never made public. |

One of the most beautiful houses IMO, Home of the late Gianni Versace--now owned by his sister, Donatella Versace. It is said that Versace considered this his primary residence and when he really wanted to relax and get away, he came here. It is no wonder that his body was brought back to his beloved Lake Como to be buried.

50 CENT IS SELLING HIS MANSION
![]() ![]() Rapper 50 Cent's 52-room Connecticut estate – once owned by Mike Tyson – is on the market. The 20-year-old, 48,000-plus-sq.-ft. residence, which cost Fitty (real name: Curtis James Jackson III) $4.1 million in 2003, is located in Farmington and rests on 17 acres, the Hartford Courant reports. It features about 18 bedrooms, 37 bathrooms, a gym, duel billiard rooms, racquetball courts and a disco. The asking price is unknown, but local brokers – who tell the paper the house could be a small hotel were it not for zoning laws – estimate that it is more than $10 million. After 50 Cent bought the property, he reportedly spent up to $6 million renovating it, adding a helicopter pad, an infinity pool and spa with a grotto and a movie theater. "He's put a lot into it, and it's all very tasteful, except the stripper poles," Curt Clemens Sr., owner of Century 21 Clemens & Sons in Hartford, tells the paper. Clemens, who represented the property when it was owned by Tyson, said he toured the house a few months ago but is not handling the sale. On the down side, "It's an impossible house to use because of its gargantuan size," Clemens says. "Only a very minute portion of the population could afford to buy it, maintain it and would want it." The house's past owners apparently have not had the best of luck. According to a timeline in the Courant, it was built in 1987 for $2.3 million by Benjamin Sisti, a founder of Colonial Realty – who was later jailed for bilking investors out of millions. The mansion was bought by a bank at a foreclosure auction for $3.5 million and in 1993 sold it for $2.7 million to Lithuanian businessman Romas Martsinkiavitchous – who faced bankruptcy a year later. Tyson bought the house in 1996 for $2.8 million, and listed it the following year for $22 million. After six years on the market – and a price cut to $4.75 million – the house was awarded to Tyson's second wife, Monica Turner, in their divorce settlement. 50 Cent bought it from her in September 2003.
