I watched Evil last night. I didn't dislike it, but it was reminiscent of every other film I've seen set in a boarding school ever (okay, perhaps not Harry Potter). Nothing special and I thought the leading actor really lacked charisma (ditto in Kill Your Darlings). I can't fault Gustaf's performance, but it's not a role that's going to make anyone fall in love with him.
I have no idea when it's release date it, but I will let you know if I find it. I watched it at a film festival and thought it was a charming movie, nothing spectacular, but Gustaf was just flawless. He really is a good actor and I am so jealous BB12 gets to see him on stage as Hamlet.

Of course. Just look at Alex – he's very pretty in this one and he's in it a lot. The film itself is rubbish but not unwatchable.

GuSkars better behave himself!
Ahh....blissful silence. It's like a day spa in here. I can almost feel the cucumber pieces on my eyes. Calmness has to reign when there's not a minute-long video of two people getting into a car to dissect, right? God save us on the day something more salacious comes out.

About Evil, I enjoyed it; it made me glad I'm not a boy at boarding school, as I've heard plenty of horror stories involving bodily waste of all sorts. That scene involving the main character's revenge on poor GuSkars' character nearly sent me running for the bathroom. Gross!

I have Patrik 1,5 in my queue also but am not holding my breath. There's enough of it on youtube to whet my appetite and I agree with MissVirgo that he seems to have played his part very sweetly. Why would it take so long to distribute, I wonder?

Here is the official website for Patrik 1.5: http://www.patrikonepointfive.com/

So far the only info they have for release dates in the states is select theaters in November.

I think I may have a long wait for that one. Since I've been able to add it to my DVD rental list, I wonder if it's going to bypass cinemas here completely or my request is just being held in some sort of limbo.

So far here in the states it has been shown mostly at LGBT film festivals. I have a feeling it will be released on DVD instead of showing at a cinema. I would think that if they let you request it, than they must know that it's a request they can eventually fulfill.

I've only seen it here so far http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Patrik-Age-1-5...item53dd63467d and I may be just a cheapskate but I'm going to hang on until I can find a bit cheaper one somewhere.

I was looking for some Gustaf images for us and google brought up this:

gustafhandwrittenletter.jpg

It's brief but he sounds quite sweet and he has a sense of humour.

Not too sure about the website it came from. It looks like it's just for autograph hunters but I didn't look too closely, so I hope it's not some sort of meeting ground for stalkers.

She was famous long before.

She is one of the most respected opera singers in Sweden.

:)

I´ve seen her live at the Royal Opera many times.

I've been chanting all day, LOL. I saw this in my inbox today and thought of you:

Not very Gustaf-y but maybe he's a closet Twi-hard?? Or a closet Twihater, more like. Behind that placid face I'm sure he's got a very strong opinion on Edward's sparkliness.

I love it XD Honestly, I don't hate Twilight I'm just really sick of the shamless promotions and silly twilighters. I read Twilight 2 Months after it was released. I loved it. Not because of the writing ( Stephanie Meyer can't write worth a darn) It was just a really interesting story. This was a long time ago so you can see how I might be a little disgruntled.

The only reason I'm sticking by the franchise is because I'm a big fan of Robert Pattinson and his work outside of Twilight.

I agree and it's a shame. Her idea was a good one but it got so bogged down with the endless adverbs that by the second book I was thinking, seriously? There are people who think this is fine literature because....? I used to work with a girl who carried those books around like the Bible. I think if SM had worked with a different set of editors the entire thing could have been a much better product. I think the twi-craziness isn't so much about the writing as it is the concept of young love and destiny, eternity etc., all those boring themes LOL

I do wonder how the rest of the cast members' lives will be affected by this project though. I can't imagine they had any concept of the levels of absurdity it would all reach.

The book summary sounded kind of funny though :)
