I wonder what it must be like if one of parents and a few of your siblings follow the same career path as you. It can't be an easy thing but GSkars looks like he can handle the goods.

My favorite Ryan.G performance is from the Believer... I wasn't too convinced by Lars and the real girl.
Yup both born on the same day and the same year. I guess that makes them both scorpios but I'm not too familiar with astrology so I wouldn't know what that means... isn't it funny the kinds of things google search reveals. I can barely remember what it was like before google... as I recall those were the days of hand cranked computers and horse drawn carriages. When anarchy ruled the streets with an iron fist and tumble weeds were forever getting in the way. Those were good times!

YouŽd see " Snapphanar" with Gustaf and Tuva.

The serie is not that good, but the costumes are stunning!

Are you starting to look at this thread as the sort of 'chill-out room' for when it all gets too heated over at the ASkars thread? I've done that a couple of times too. It's quite nice having this as a calm thread

GuSkars better behave himself!

I saw The Believer at the weekend. He really is fantastic in it and it made me want to see more with him in. I liked him in Lars and the Real Girl too actually. Not so much in Murder By Numbers, but he was working with pretty mediocre material (and no, I don't mean Sandra Bullock). I don't think I've seen anything else with him in.

Oh dear, this is meant to be the GuSkars thread and I'm already off-topic.

Yes, but the Gosling is such an interesting off-topic.

Back to Gustaf, man, the talent that is coming out of Europe (not to mention the fading American talent) makes me want to move back there.

Yeah I little bit. I've also ran out of Alex things to talk about... It's probably good for me not to linger when things get testy... I will dig in and not give up, it's so annoying.

I also want to support this thread... for purely random reasons.

Yeah Gustaf baby you'd better behave! you have no idea what lies beyond.

The problem with Gustaf is that there is less press material available... This makes it a little difficult to chat about him. What will we do?

Here's an article

I think we're going to have to rely on Blueberry to supply us with pictures and educate us on all things Gustaf.

He has a couple of English language films listed on his IMDB page, so if we sit tight for oh... a year or so, his time may come...

I watched Gustaf this summer in Patrik 1.5 and just fell madly in love with him. He played Goran with such a sweetness, that I wanted to make a baby for him!

I have that on my DVD rental list, but no release date is given.

I watched Evil last night. I didn't dislike it, but it was reminiscent of every other film I've seen set in a boarding school ever (okay, perhaps not Harry Potter). Nothing special and I thought the leading actor really lacked charisma (ditto in Kill Your Darlings). I can't fault Gustaf's performance, but it's not a role that's going to make anyone fall in love with him.

Hmm, I thought Andreas lacked charisma in KYD, but thought he did well in Evil. Actually, not so much lacked charisma in KYD, but was just completely overpowered by Lolita. I enjoyed both movies for the most part, but both indulged in the Swedish film curse of lousy endings.

I can't wait to see Patrik 1,5. And what is this movie he's doing with Colin Farrell?

The war film? I think it's called something like No Way Back. That one sounds promising. I hope it doesn't turn out to be his 'Last Drop'.

I haven't seen Last Drop because I really don't like war movies. GK was a huge exception. Is it worth watching?
