Well in Swedish interviews people announce/approach him as Yoel Kinnamaan (that's the pronunciation). But I agree with the American dad theory. It should be Kinnaman not Shinnaman. Never heard of his dad having Swedish origin. I thought he went to Sweden because it was one of the only countries that does not extradite deserter given the US was after him.
Maybe we should ask him at the premiere in August and be like,
"Joel sweetie (as if we were buddies),
would you mind giving us pronunciation and tongue lessons on your last name?
We're having a serious debate over the fact that we don't know how to approach you the right way."
Btw, I mean Kinnaman is way easier than Skarshgoard.
