I'd love for my little side craft business to become a full time gig. but sometimes when i get a really good amount of orders in for a week i think "wow... that doesn't even come close to my paycheck now...." lol total kill joy!
i just need to find a husband that has a good paying job to where I can do my art full time
My family own a chain of restaurants in our state for years until they sold them out in 2006. I spent all my spare time when I was growing up helping out and doing homework in the back room
It wasn't always fun, but it was cool to have my birthday parties after hours with free food!
I am a trainer/instructor. The business ebbs and flows, but I love seeing good results with people, setting my own hours and being outside, although the pay is not....that great at all!!! This business is all I have done my entire life, it takes that long to be really good and thoroughly knowledgeable. Recently I've been toying with starting a tiny clothing line, as I like to sew and design.
If you are thinking of starting a business, do it! WITH a sound business plan, plenty of research, and most of all....passion!!!
Great stories you guys. thank you for encouraging me also, I am really thinking to start a small ethnic/exotic jewelry boutique. I also love to design and sew clothes myself. Been doing that since i can remember.
We have just started our own training consultancy business, but it's in addition to other work. I'd love to start my very own as well, but am quite busy with starting a new career in a new-to-me field.
