Was this trench a good buy?

Hi girls (and guys)...

I impulse purchased a trench on Bluefly today, as I've been looking for one for a while and the ones on sale at Nordies can't be shipped to Canada. After duties and shipping it came to about $850, which is the most I've ever spent on a jacket, but there was only 1 left in stock and I may have jumped the gun a little. Does this seem like a decent price? Is Bluefly reliable? I read in a few threads that they have sold fakes in the past which made me kind of worried.

Here's the link: http://www.bluefly.com/Burberry-Burb...301/detail.fly

Thanks all :)

Going to tell you honestly, this product is labeled wrong and is not part of the Prorsum collection. Prorsum is Burberry's runway collection and prices can shoot up to $2,000 - $45,000USD, not to mention the pieces are really fun and loud. For the price they have listed, this is undoubtedly a Trench from the London collection - looks very much like a Manston trench (because of the shortness). But I could be wrong because of the quality and number of photos provided.

Bluefly also tends to sell items from the sales floor (samples - where clients can try them on), meaning it could show customer wear-and-tear. Again, it just depends on the item that arrives on your doorstep. Some can have good luck with Bluefly - almost like roulette. Got to take a chance!

It is a pretty decent price, but again, they labeled it wrong, so what else could be wrong? If you do happen to receive it, please let me know what it reads on the tag. I'll try to investigate some more.

Thanks so much, when I receive it I'll be sure to take some pictures of the tag etc. that you can look at. I'm hoping that it's genuine and in good condition, because returns from Canada are a huge hassle and end up costing a lot in shipping.

Thanks again Schrodinger :)

Congrats on your new coat! I recently scored a Burberry coat on sale too (the ruffle hem coat seen on Kate Middleton, only in black). I think yours was a good deal if you intend to use it a lot. The cost per wear makes it worthwhile. (Not so much for me since I've always wanted a Burberry coat but don't know when I'll be able to wear it in California weather. I'm still undecided about my purchase.)

I've had horrible experiences with Bluefly & will never shop there again. The original prices listed on their site are bogus to make it seem like you're getting a good deal. The items sold are display items & the authenticity of some of the items is highly questionable. Also, it's a nightmare if you need to make returns. They keep your money & the item is back on their site for sale, but it takes them over 1 month to process your refund & credit your card (that's after numerous calls/live chats to remind them of the policies stated on their site!).

Hope it works out for you. If not, there are a lot of Burberry coats currently on sale at major dept store sites (Saks, NM, NET-A-PORTER, etc..) that ship internationally.

I usually buy Burberry at Nordy, because even at final price cut they still have huge selections.

Your purchase seems like a good deal though. You should just come to the States for vacation in the next two weeks. Because the department stores are going to have 2nd price cut

Hi all... I posted pictures here: Authenticate This Burberry >>> Please read the rules & use the format in post #1

After looking around online, it looks like the model it is labelled as (Burberry Harbourne) is a Burberry London one, which makes me doubt the authenticity. Any help is greatly appreciated. I really hope that Bluefly will refund me the huge shipping charges if it is fake. It looks like they don't even refund duties. /sob
