Default Nightmare situation .....really upset
I purchased a Burberry tote less than 2 weeks ago at the outlet in Dawsonville, GA. I was looking over the purse about 4 days ago and noticed that the inside strap had several black marker lines on it. After further inspection I found black lines along the piping running down the bag. I paid $400 + tax for this purse. I decided to take it back. I went to the store today and I told the SA the reason I was returning the bag. She walks away from me and goes to talk to her manager I assume, so he walks to the cash wrap and looks the purse over and even he did not see the black marks initially as I had to point them out to him. So he tells me he will back as he disappears into the back. After a 7-10 min wait he comes back and tells me he tried calling his store manager but she wasn't home and he tried calling her cell. He asks me could I leave the bag and reciept with him as he will try to call her again if I can come back to the store in about an hour. Well I came back in 15 mins because this was making me upset and ruining my day with my family. Upon returning, the MOD tells me his manager will not accept the the purse because it has permanent damage. I said, you sold me this purse in this condition but when I want to return it you are refusing me. He told me to call his manager tomorrow. This is very upsetting. What can I do from this juncture? I don't think the SM will be of any help since she told her MOD to refuse the return. Sorry this is so long.

there are black lines running down the side and neither of you noticed at first? That is very odd but i feel bad for you, 400$ for a damaged handbag is very depressing.

I haven't been very pleased with Dawsonville Burberry in the past. What ended up happening? Did you get your $$ back?

I've never purchased anything from Burberry outlets only from boutique but that is pretty upsetting what happened to you. I would say that many times items go to outlets due to some kind of defect which can't be sold at the main boutiques or the boutique has too many of last season items which didn't sell.
