Default New Burberry falling apart!? It's Authentic!
Okay, I recently purchased the Burberry Chester at Bloomingdales.

After two uses I noticed that there was some blue stain on there. (Rubbing off from my jeans? who knows!?) But I rubbed my bag a little with my hand and it came off. But then I noticed the other side there was more. I took a napkin and rubbing it and it finally came off.

This morning I looked at it, the outer layer (the clear plastic-y part?) was falling apart and it was ripping. I pulled on it and it stretched. I flipped out and just left it alone. I would take a picture of it but the camera isn't catching the blemish as it looks like in real life. what to do!?

Okay, honestly, WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? I didn't pay for a designer bag so it can fall apart so easily! What to do? I took the tags off I can't get it exchanged or returned right?

Goodness that's pretty bad. I would definitely take it back. Bloomingdale's has an excellent return policy and customer service from all the times I've bought from them. It really should not be doing that. :( Hopefully it's just a defective bag that they'll replace with one that doesn't have that problem.

I would take it back and try to exchange for a DIFFERENT bag. The nova canvas is pretty low quality and the staining will continue to happen with anything from that collection.

i have this same exact bag that i bought late last fall.. what i started noticing after a month of use, at close inspection, are a few kinda like hairline fracture on the novacheck coated canvas. They are very tiny and thin. i don't know how else to explain it but then my husband can't see them when i show him. It's my only burberry purse. Because of the quality, i will never buy another burberry purse again. And i'm so afraid of transferring color to it, i never wear my TR jeans with the bag. Not an everyday bag at all. So high maintenance!

If you still have the receipt or if you bought it with your bloomy card, they should be able to help you.

What a bummer! My husband purchased a beautiful black quilted Burberry Brook bag from Nordstrom a couple of years ago. Shortly thereafter, part of the seam started coming out. I hadn't had the bag for very long. The sales associate said that this was a common problem with the Burberry quilted bags. We exchanged it for a different bag, which I love. Still, I was disappointed. It was first high-end bag, and I really liked it! You certainly expect more for your money.

Same here! But my problem was that there were air bubbles forming under the coated canvas.
I bought the bag two years ago in Paris, so I can't really take it back. German SAs can't help me either, so I've contacted Burberry customer services in London and will send them the bag on Monday.
I hope they will really do something about it, like they said they would in their second email - the first one was just a standard reply
