Ring tomorrow and see what they say first. Tell them they misrepresented the length and why the plastic bag says otherwise ? Also ask them about the missing second tag. Someone who has the second tag, could you please tell us what it says ? Is it just care instructions ?

That's what I'm doing. If enough of us call they will do something about it (hopefully).

This is my first post, and I wish it were under better circumstances. I also ordered my scarf from BlueFly (trench check) & received it today. I have the second tag. There are four lines on the tag. The lines are centered horizontally, and they read as follows:

100%
CASHMERE KASCHMIR CACHEMIRE
CACHEMERE KASHMIR CACHEMIRA
KASMIR KAZMIR

The letters are kind of fuzzy. I do not have a good feeling about this. Does anyone have an authentic scarf with a tag like this?

Thankyou for that information Provocateur ! Why the camel check wouldn't have this tag is just beyond me ? However the following picture from another TPF member in another thread shows that her scarf does not have the second tag.

More scarves with? and without the Kashmir/Cashmere Tag.

I found these while browsing in another thread. I hope the OP doesn't mind me reposting them. But you can see clearly that two of these scarves don't have the odd second tag on them. I find it strange because the primary tag already indicates that the scarf is 100% Cashmere so why have an unnecessary secondary tag ?

However the middle scarf looks to have a second tag. But hopefully the owner of this photo can let us know what it says ?

Maybe the 2nd tag with the cashmere info was attached with intention to export to those particular countries (with those languages)?

I thought that sometimes manufacturers did that so that the product was language-specific to that particular country... (general statement, I have no idea about burberry!)

This question has been raised many times about Missing Burberry Tags. Not so much on PF but in general... A friend who works for Burberry in Sydney has told me that Burberry Headoffice has told all their staff to cut tags if an employee or their family are buying the item at a discounted price so they can not take them to a Boutique and exchange for something to the same value. There are many authentic, Classic Trench coats with tags missing as well... They have been bought at a discounted price and resold to the public. The tags that are cut or "missing" are normally the order code tags. This could be the case with this one as well.

wow what a mystery... I just ordered a Burberry rose cashmere scarf from Saks this morning for my daughter. I just couldn't trust ebay or BlueFly. My mom has one from nordstroms her tag is white or creamish and says %100 cashmere made exclusively in scotland dry clean only. her scarf has only the one white tag. Ill post my tag from Saks on the 24 thats when fedex is bringing it OH mom will be here that day too so Ill post her nordstroms tag too. she keps her paper tags too so Ill have her bring it so we can see the Saks and nordstroms tag.

I already returned mine, it's just not worth the hassle, I'm never buying BlueFly again. But I'm very curious to hear whether the burberry store authenticates it as real as some people I've heard are going to try to do. Also, everyone, please do call and complain.
