Need pics of the MADE IN... tag

Please wait for maryg1 as she is better versed in Manor bags than I am - maryg1, do you think the Burberry stamp is a bit too high?

Hello, glad to be here and I hope someone can help out. I may have made a mistake and suspect that I have purchased a fake Burberry quilted jacket:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN:IT&ih=014

I did actually do my homework and took into consideration the features of genuine Burberry, such as the correctness of the Nova Check pattern (alignment/color), the font of the word Burberry on the tags, etc. The user I purchased from has all positive ratings as well.

One thing that I didn't think about was the buttons. The jacket has metal snaps with "BURBERRY" engraved into them. However, the font looks like a generic Times New Roman sort of font, just like the "fake" in the picture in this thread about spotting fake Burberry shirts and purses (but not jackets):

http://www.honestforum.com/other-bra...-burberry.html

When I read that post, I had of course already gotten the jacket. My heart sank, but admittedly all the other features of the jacket look legitimate, so I'm wondering if the buttons are just supposed to be that way. Trouble is, I can't seem to find a good close up of a Burberry jacket with metal snaps close enough to see the font.

Does anyone have a Burberry jacket with metal engraved buttons whose font doesn't have the little "rat tails" on the Rs?

Also, the jacket has a detachable hood, which I haven't seen on a Burberry quilted jacket.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced

I forgot: here's a picture of one of the snaps on the jacket:

#1 - need closer pics of front of paper tag, BURBERRY stamp and pic of MADE IN... tag

#2 - the serial tag looks off to me and the bottom canvas is misaligned - please wait for another opinion

Although I do not have a quilted jacket, I have the same concern you do about the snap font

Also, is the interior tag on the side of the coat or at the collar?

Hello! It's on the inside left (as you're wearing it). On the collar is only the "Made in England" tag. There are also tags on the inside of both front pockets. One has size and lot number ink-stamped on the tag, the other just says "Burberry London". The tags look authentic, but would a fake producer go through all the trouble to place a total of four genuine tags? It seems if they went that far to make the tags convincing, then they wouldn't make such and obvious faux pas on the button font.

So frustrating!
