Default Would this carry through more than one season?
I've never really been into bottega veneta but after seeing this one my interest was sparked. Do you guys think I could get long lasting wear out of this bag? I really like it!

It's completely sold out of the company and has been for awhile. I did see the tan version at Neiman's and it is beautiful!!!!! Plus the strap can double for a belt.

How long it lasts -- depends on how you use: don't overload it, don't let it brush up against or rub anything! ..don't get it wet, store it carefully, don't jam it into closet with other stuff. (what have I forgotten?)
How long? Ok I'll try to estimate, based on bags I've had ..
1. Hard, everyday use on medium quality bag 2-4 years
2. Gentle care and occasional use -- 10-20 years

Wow, I'd expected high priced stuff to last a lot longer that that really!

It's a gorgeous bag, but as an exotic I think you would have to be careful with it compared to leather bags.

I think using it as an everyday bag would be pushing it. If you rotate it frequently with others I think it would last a long time. I own 2 BV pythons, a Chloe, and a Zagliani, and I am surprised at how hardy they are. I just conditioned all my bags with DYO and they look really supple and smooth. I think the key is to condition them regularly and make sure they don't get wet. Water is not good for snakeskin from what I have read.

My experience with Python is that it tends to have -- issues. Maybe BV is different? Regardless I don't buy python anymore due to many many unfortunate experiences with color transfer.

that bag makes me weep with longing -- good thing it's sold out, effectively removing it from my fantasies!
can someone talk more about the "python issues"? I recently became obsessed with python, so any advice will be appreciated!

It's a gorgeous bag!
But python and/or anaconda really needs special care.
I would rotate them and really condition it properly, whilst taking very good care of it. That way, I think it could last a long time.
