Nymph, L`Officiel is actually a very renown French magazine with many special issues around the year. and a growing number of licenses all over the world. The original interview seems to have been held in French as they state in the article.

Bumping up this thread, because lately, I have seen so much press coverage on BV, it`s simply incredible!

Unfortunately, I don`t have a scanner and I don`t think it would be of any use to photograph the pages, but here is what I`ve stumbled over:

March issue- Vogue Paris, story on Maier and BV
March issue- Vogue UK (Syma? Balchlfen? VKD? scanner anyone?), story on Maier and BV
Feb issue- Harper`s Bazaar (I think this has already been posted)

Gosh, I have always been dreaming of doing PR for Bottega, but now I really really would love to be a part of it!

Something new for everyone:

Publication: Pambianco Week
Date: April 2008
Title: Bottega Veneta posts record 2007 results

Bottega Veneta, the luxury brand owned by Gucci Group posted record annual revenue and profit growth. In 2007 the group’s revenue registered an increase of 49% (at comparable exchange rates) reaching €366 million, while operating profits soared 87% (at comparable rates) reaching €92 million.

The CEO of the company, Patrizio Di Marco, 46, was obviously satisfied
with the results: “With operating profits representing 25.2% of the company’s total revenue, compared to 20.5% in 2006, we’ve now become part of an exclusive group of luxury companies that constitute the benchmark for the
sector: brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Hermès, all very traditional
companies. Bottega Veneta was founded in 1966. When the Gucci Group acquired it in 2001, Bottega Veneta’s revenue totalled €35 million and the company showed a huge deficit. A lot of people were patting me on the
back and wishing me good luck”.

The outlook for 2008 is positive, despite the looming threat of recession in the US and substantial stagnation of the Japanese market. “For us Europe is the most important market”, concluded Di Marco. “It represents 33.4% of total sales. The second most important market is Japan, where we continue
to expand. Sales are up 30.3%, Asia/Pacific is up 18.8%, and America recorded a 17.3% sales growth. We are utterly convinced that this year will go smoothly and we expect to open another dozen stores, bringing the total number to 123.” (Excerpt taken from Il Sole 24 Ore, 2/03/08. Edited by PW)

Haha. I don't know. Always like to read about the brands I'm keen on. But maybe if we fill up this space with enough articles, people will start coming in

Thank you to those who find and post these articles. It helps to have some insight on the industry. I'm thrilled to read that my favorite brand is doing so well, even though it's still under the radar to many people.

to the members here who make this a great subforum!

Does anyone get Neiman Marcus Incircle "The Book"? Today I received the Summer 2008 copy and it has an article on BV and Tomas Maier with some photos. I don't have a scanner, but if someone else doesn't have access to the publication, I can mail the article and they could post it?
