Default What is the difference between Night and Ferro?
Well those who know I am still looking for the elusive Ferro Sloane would know that I have posted a question on the authenticating thread on a Sloane that was thought first as a Ferro Sloane and then realised it is actually a Night Sloane.

I am now very curious, as I have seen a Ferro irl but not Night.

From the color reference thread, both belong to the black/gray family. Anyone can further elaborate the difference?

Thank you so much in advance

Maybe this photo will help?
"Night" color?? Anyone has pyramid in this color??

I've never seen Night, but I've seen Ferro. Assuming this photo and the grey-black or near-black color description is accurate, then I would think that Ferro is a lighter color than Night.

I would think that Night is more to black, a very dark color whereas Ferro at one glance you can tell its grey

Thanks blueiris and sportsger2001 I guess I have to go down to the boutique to check it out and see whether they have Night color to show me.

I have seen both Night and Ferro as a friend has a Night Pyramid. Night is much darker, more of a dark stormy grey. The amazing thing about BV color is that it changes slightly depending on the lighting. So sometimes Night looks like the inky midnight sky we see, not totally black though.

Ferro is a lighter grey than Night. I don't think you can still find Night in the boutiques as it is a seasonal color from F/W 08.

Here are some pictures of Night for reference. Pics were taken indoor at night with warm lighting.

Without flash. Night and Ottone.

I love both Night and Ferro. I have always lean towards Ferro, but after seeing my friend's Night Pyramid, I like that too. Night is a more subtle color which looks different in different lighting. Ferro, being a lighter shade, is more "in your face" when compared to Night.

Get both!

I have seen both Night and Ferro. Night could easily pass for black. It has some blue in it that makes it not totally black - but it really is very close to being black. Ferro is a medium-dark grey with bluish undertones.

Ok, went to the boutique and saw both colors irl..... i must say my heart still belongs to Ferro

The Night is dark dark navy that it was impossible to see the blue under any normal in-room lighting. The SA kept telling me that it is navy blue but i was looking at it under both warm and cool light the blue just did not show at all, it is a "livelier" black to me because personally I find Nero a bit "flat".

Ok I shall wait for a Ferro Sloane or something nicer come by.

Thank you all lovely ladies for the help and explanations.

If you want to see the color Night (on a Sloane) come on in!

This thread gives a description of night and the color code.

I've seen Night and I think this is a good representation of it .. "almost-black" or "light black"

aaa_1188: I'm glad you are able to see both colors at the boutiques. I'm surprised Night is still around since it is from the previous season. Ferro is definitely a gorgeous color :)

aaa that's good ... I was mulling it over and ..

If you got a Night bag, only we, BV-obsessed, people RIGHT HERE would know it is "Night" .. the entire rest of the world would think it's (just) a good looking black bag.

Ferro, on the other hand, is an unusual color.

Silvercloud I guess it's because Sloane is extremely expensive here, I don't think the stock moves as fast as other parts of the world. I am very glad to be able to see both in real life too, it has given me an opportunity to ponder and realised that I don't need to get one in a hurry, but having said that, we all know, once a girl has her mind set on a bag, she will go many many extr miles to get her hands on one, or she would not rest

Yes CaliforniaGal even the SA was not too concern over the name of the bag until I asked her again just to make sure I am looking at the right color, she then realised that I "mean" business when I said I am looking for a Night Sloane

I haven't seen Night IRL, but ahhh Ferro. I had to sell my Ferro Sloane because that bag didn't work for me. I have sorely missed my Ferro bag though. I'm dying for anything in Ferro these days.

I love the Ferro color because there is a slight shimmer/sheen to it. It almost appears a little different in certain lights. It's just a gorgeous grey color with a little something to it.

Good luck!
