Wink What do we think about the MULTICOLOR INTRECCIATO GOATSKIN BAG?
In my area of the US, we are not fortunate to have a BV boutique. My BV shopping is limited to Nordstrom and Mario's. I'm not complaining (not that much), but I don't get to see that much IRL. Yesterday my Nordstrom SA called and said she got a BV bag in and held it for me. She said it was the "Simon bag." For those of you in the US, of a certain, ahem...age, will remember the Simon game. It beeps out a pattern and you have to mimic the pattern. A good test for short term visual memory, actually. It looked like this:

I remember teasing the SA about the bag, telling her it looked like a Simon game, when she informed me it was going to come to Nordstrom. So I popped over there today to pick up a gift and visited the bag in question...

It is the MULTICOLOR INTRECCIATO GOATSKIN BAG 206104/VIDH1 $ 8300

The bag is truly gorgeous in real life. It has all the fall colors we love, Turbolence, Torrent, Eclipse and Nero. The snakeskin detail is beautiful and the workmanship divine. It is the exact same silhouette as the large croco trim Bombe satchel. Not for the shoulder, but also not too large looking as a hand carry bag.

Has anyone else seen this one yet?

What do y'all think of the design?

Unfortunately, I remember the Simon game. LOL

It's a gorgeous bag. I'm not sure if I could pull it off, but it's gorgeous. It's also quite pricey.

My daughters played Simon! Funny, when I saw the pic of the bag in the Spring catalog that's what came to mind...Simon! My dd pronounced it fugly upon seeing it. It doesn't speak to me but then I'm not a big fan of multicolored bags. But I do appreciate the fine craftsmanship and exquisite skins.

That game was awesome! It took skill, street smarts, and true intellect. I would have to see the bag in real life but it definitely makes a statement!

I would definitely need to see in IRL - but based only on the pictures I don't think I could carry it off!

I actually saw an absolutely hideous fake version of that same bag (in two different colour combinations!) on one of the fake sites last night. And no, I wasn't shopping... I was trying to find a fake version of a BV bag that I know I had seen somewhere in connection with a posting on Authenticate This - didn't find that one, but I did come across some really baaad fakes - they are definitely faking pretty much everything BV does now, including this one.

Okay, I went back to check the pictures of the fakes again and I just had to share the pictures - they are just sooooo bad:

Those fakes are hilarious! I don't like the original bag much, but the knockoffs are some of the ugliest things I have ever seen. I'm laughing now, but I kind of hope they don't give me nightmares tonight. Dun, dun, DUN!

Of course I remember Simon--drove me nuts.

The bag intrigues me, but I know I would never be bold enough to wear it. So eye-catching! Disgusting fake, too.

Interesting bag but dun think I can carry it off. Reckon it might be a tad hard to match and for that price I'm pretty sure I'd want a bag that I can use often if not everyday.

Disgusting fakes too btw.

Snakeskin and quality not withstanding, not my cup of tea... I find it too busy.

I like the silhouette, and the Bombe bag so much better. I agree it is busy, but someone will buy it...I'm sure.

I somehow prefer the pattern on a mosaic door or window (like the ones in churches), but on a bag, I'm not sure. I love the colors individually but all together with the simon game pattern, not really.
