Default Wallet Help?
Hi Ladies,

I'm a newbie and I'd love everyone's advice on which wallet to buy. I just called the boutique and they told me they have either the zip around or continental. I"m leaning toward a zip around but would love to hear everyone's experience carrying either.

And as for color, what do you think? I'm thinking dark brown but again would enjoy hearing all opinions.

Thanks all!

Hi lovebags2,

Welcome! I'm new too but love BV with a passion. I just recently went through the wallet comparison myself in search of the perfect style for me....

Although the zip-around is beautiful, I found that when you open it, it opens rather narrowly and so the contents would sit "snugly." If this does not bother you and you like the sleek look of the zip-around, then I say go for it. I liked and ultimately bought the continental because it opens wide (like a book), and found it easier to get to my cards, bill slot, etc. I also liked how the bill slot is extra deep so that your money is more discretely hidden.

For color choice, besides choosing the color that sings to you, consider also how the wallet will sit and contrast with the interior color of your bags. I was trying to decide between the Boudoir and the Anemone and tested both by placing them inside my Nero Veneta (tan suede interior), and found that the Anemone was more striking inside the bag while the Boudoir just blended in.

I went with the continental snap closure wallet in Anemone and every time I use it, I marvel at its beauty and know I made the right choice for me. I highly recommend you take a look at your choices in person. Good luck! You can't go wrong Bottega!

Thanks for the warm welcome and lovely review. I'm googling your wallet right now. I"m sure it's gorgeous.

I can't wait to go into NYC for the day with hubby to pick out my BV wallet. What a fun day it will be!

IRL, the anemone is a deeper purple than shown here. So yummy!!!

Whatever you end up getting, post a pic!

Yes, I sure do love the holiday's. I feel like a little kid again. I can't wait to go shopping for my wallet with hubby. I even told him that he can help me choose the style and color. That way it will be more special. Of course, I"ll give him a gentle nudge in the right direction of the store.

Thanks for that link. I LOVE LOVE your wallet.

LOL! Good for you for getting your DH involved...I'm sure that'll make it all the more special. Thanks for the kind words about my wallet. I'm sure whatever you end up getting, it will be gorgeous! Keep us posted on your wallet adventure!

There's only one downside to a luxe Bottega wallet....you'll want to pull it out all the time, which equals more spending, which means more Bottega goodies...oh wait, I guess there is no downside! Hehe!

Hi Lovebags, I'm more of a BV lurker but want to share that I have the double zip wallet and love it.

I use the zip compartments for cash and change and the interior compartments for cards and papers/receipts. It keeps me pretty organized. I've also tried using the interior for cash and the zip for random things - works nicely both ways:-)

Wowsers! That's absolutely beautiful too. How'd I miss that one?

I decided today that Santa will be bringing me a cervo BV hobo and wallet. I absolutely can't wait. I"m very excited to have finally found a hobo and wallet with my name written all over it.

Hi Ladies,

And I thought I could wait until Christmas for my hobo and wallet? hehe No way!!!!

If anyone should come across a double zip wallet in lilac on sale can you post the info here or send me a PM. I have a feeling the stores might have seasonal colors go on sale around Good Friday but I rather not wait if I can help it. LOL
