Default Using Paypal with Raffaello/ Styledrops - Help
Wonder if any of you could help me out. I understand from my research that the only way to pay the quoted price in US$ is to use paypal, otherwise these 2 sites will charge customers in Euros!!! I know some tpfers based in the US have been using Paypal to get round this nasty trick that Raffaello and Styledrops spring on customers.

My home currency is Japanese Yen and not US$. My fear is that they will charge me in Euros converted to JPY ($$$)! Has anyone outside of US tried using paypal with Raffaello/ Styledrops? And were you able to pay in US$?

Hi Minda, I used my credit card for a Gucci bag bought from Styledrops last year, and was charged in US dollars (converted to Singapore dollars by my bank). So perhaps it will be converted to your home currency regardless of payment method.
From what I've seen on these two websites though, the prices are not worth the trouble if you're buying BV bags. Styledrops has higher prices than even the RRP by BV.

Minda - Both of those sites are really expensive...20%+ more for the same bags here in the US.

Minda, Rafaello is a terrible website, I've had a really bad experience with them some time ago when they tried to charge my CC even though the item was out of stock, and when they do the conversion they always end up over charging you. Do a search on Rafaello network and you will hear some horror stories on their appalling customer service. Luckily I informed my CC company to unauthorise their transaction but others haven't been so lucky!

Bertrell - thanks! I thougt Styledrops would use Euros as the base if you pay by credit card. Good to know that it does not employ the same nasty trick as Raffaello!

Syma - thanks for the warning. I will avoid Raffaello like the plague! I did an online chat with a Raffaello rep who was very rude. That figures.

Was eyeing a pair of tod's shoes actually :) But even their shoes are more expensive than elsewhere - so maybe that's why they still have sizes.
