I was so excited when I called Saks thinking tat I found the waxed python duette bag in antelope at a HUGE savings. I received my package today....and received the python sloane from last season. It's cute, but I am a bit dissappointed. this is a $4900 bag that I got for $2389 after tax.....the question....should I keep it?

It's a great deal....but if you don't love it, I'd look at it as 2400 spent not 2500 saved..KWIM??~

It's from Fall 2007. Page 42 blog #5. It's gourgeous and when will I be able to afford an exoctic for $2400? I just had my heart set on the BV sold out duette

It's a really pretty bag - very interesting, I don't think I could get ever tired of looking at it. What did the bag look like that you thought you were getting?

It was part of the ad campaign. I think it's on page 3. It is a similiar shape, but has a belt for the strap.

I've seen - and lusted after - that bag IRL .... you got it at a fantastic price. And I have the matching wallet! I think your bag is gorgeous, but of course, you have to love it.

it really depends on how much more you like the waxed python duette bag than this sloane, because if you return the sloan, that's potentially money to put towards the deutte, right?

If you feel that it's not something you could love, then please return it, and put the money saved towards something that you will really like.

I agree. I bought the Ferro Sloane and returned it cos it just didn't grow on me after a few days. I have no regrets. There'll be other bags you'll like and you can use the money towards those other bags. Sometimes I find myself thinking what a good buy something is, but if you don't like it you shouldn't buy it however good a deal it is.

I think I'm going to keep it. It's a great bag and I saw it on line and thought about it too. The duette bag is sold out at BV. It was posted in an earlier blog. Page 2 "Can I where this more than one season", but the color I saw was antelope. NM has it but for $4100 US. Can't justify it....YET

There is one BV Python Duette at Saks in Houston, but it is at Original Price $4100.

Thanks. I called New York originally thinking they would have it. The sloane came from Texas too. I'll wait til it gets markdown.....then I will buy.
