Stop enabling me!!! Funny thing was my DH saw a picture of the oceano Montaigne when looking over my shoulder on tPF a long time ago and just this past weekend mentioned out of the blue (pardon the pun) that I should get it. I don't have a wardrobe that would work at all with this colour (much as I like it) but did go for the old petra bag instead... which I think is clearly more workable. How funny that it appears on BF a couple of days later!

Hi, I am fairly ignorant about all things Bottega, however, I have recently fallen in love with this brand after manhandling one at Holts. Is this colour "oceano"? It looks like a more subtle blue than the ones on Diabro???

Welcome bmini! I've only been a BV fan for a few months myself but have become completely obsessed in that time! I think this must be oceano - there is a subtler blue for SS'08 but it seems highly unlikely BlueFly would have anything in it just yet.

I love that the bag is on the homepage for the bags, too. It is soooo lovely.

You guys are going to send me to the poorhouse!!! I do think I'm going to be able to resist the cassis Montaigne, though, as it really is too close to my carmino to justify having both... But I have to admit that the first thing I did this morning (even BEFORE checking in here!) was see if the oceano one was still on BlueFly... Not there right now but might just be held hostage in someone's cart. DH really loves it... I just don't think I would ever wear it...

You guys are killing me! Thanks for the suggestions and keep them coming... This thread is a great diversion from (and during) my meeting hell this week.

I love the cassis .... but I'm leery of buying $$$ bags on Ebay these days unless I (or someone I trust) has had prior experience with them. Is it possible for us to have a sticky here on the BV sub that lists "approved" BV resellers? I know there are similar threads on other sub forums and it's truly helpful.

Good idea. I know one Seller NOT to put on that list (fiasco-bag) - but a few that are legit and lovely to deal with.

I think this is my 500th post!
