Default Totally impressed with the quality of my new BV flats.
http://www.bottegaveneta.com/shoponl...99551&page=all

I purchased the above pair of flats/sandals during the sale and I've been wearing them a week now. The soles are made of leather, which I typically find wears down pretty quicky (I have had to take many many pairs of flats to the cobbler to get a real sole put on), but the soles on these are made out of a very thick, very sturdy leather. I got caught in the rain with them yesterday and there was NO DAMAGE. My experience with wearing leather-soled shoes in the rain is that it will RUIN them.

I am impressed.

Additionally, the woven leather top part is extremely soft and comfortable and goes with literally everything in my closet. I am a shoe hound -- I typically wear a different pair every day. I've worn these every day for the past week.

I can't believe I waited to long to buy something from BV. I've loved the style for a long time now and now that I own a pair of these shoes my standard of quality has been drastically changed.

I hope everything BV makes is of such high quality.

I've thought those are so cute! It's good to hear you're so happy with them.

Just wondering, do you have to pretreat the flats? It's beautiful!

That indeed looks like a super comfortable flat, and no damage after rain is amazing!!

--- But wait, now I can't use the excuse not to buy BV shoes, "I can't spend so much on something that gets beaten up everyday and probably worn out quickly."

Congratulations on your first BV purchase. I love BV shoes! Funny how once a BV owner, BV becomes the barometer for future purchases. Today I carried a bag out of the house that was a very pretty simple bag and wondered, "Why I am I not carrying my Veneta?".

Are the bags of similar high quality as the shoes?

Jeslyn, I'll try to take a few on my phone or something! I just got back from the gym so now is not a good time lol.

Going to Miami next week -- maybe I'll get a beach pic or something.

Just wanted to post the pic I promised.

I'm in Miami Beach this week so it's the perfect excuse to wear them.

xo.
