I really love the pics of the torrent green veneta here on the forum, but some describe it as hunter and some more a leaf green. Could people who have seen it IRL weigh in here on how it looks? I don't want anything very dark, like hunter or olive. Also, any idea if a green bag is coming in the Spring/Summer 2009 bags? As I can't see these IRL, your input here is essential!!! Thanks so much for any input!!!

I ordered the torrent veneta, which BlueFly described as olive, and I have to say it looked olive and not "forest green" like I had hoped. At first I thought it was a different color bag, but I checked the color code on the label, and it was definitely torrent. So I returned it and I am waiting for Saks F&F to get a ferro sloane!

I have only seen Torrent IRL in the goatskin, not nappa, but I don't think it would be too much different in different leather.
I wouldn't describe what I saw as olive, because I think of olive as having a lot of brown in it and what I saw didn't. I wouldn't describe it as forrest green either, though, as I think of that as being darker than it is. What made me decide against it was the fact that it just seemed too muted for what I was looking for... I don't know too much about colours but I would have said it had some grey or something in it so it wasn't as vivid a green as I had hoped. |

I don't think it's what I call olive green. To me, forest green and hunter green are about the same--a strong real green with no other tones in it. I like Booker Moose's description--it's a muted green, not bright at all.

Hmm, I guess I meant it was a muted green too then. Definitely not a hunter green because that is bolder and more stand-outish. I just google imaged olive and it is definitely not that either! The bag has more green pigment in it than olive, which is sort of yellowish/brownish I guess I forgot what olive was like since I always thought of it as that color that looks bad on me!

Olive green typically has yellow undertones whereas hunter green has a blue undertones and the torrent pictured above has gray undertones.

Melodysaw - Thanks SO much for the pic, it defiantely helps a lot!!! Thanks to everyone for the input - I have time to mull it over before the sales. What I really loved was the color "regent" from Fall 2007 - I am cursing myself now that I didn't grab it. I suppose I could always check with an SA to see if there are any still floating around, but I doubt it. Thanks everyone for your help!!!
