I am intrigued by the new Parachute style - there have been a few random comments on the S/S 09 thread (good handle drop, profile might be a bit wide) but I'm wondering if anyone has bought one yet and/or has any more detailed comments. Are the rings that attach the handles just plain metal - that seems a bit boring to me if they are... Thoughts?

BM - i saw this IRL today. in my opinion, it is only boring if you consider the veneta boring. it is the same kind of understated bag, but with a bit more structure. i like the uluru as well - understated, but red KWIM? i don't remember whether the metal attachments were plain. i was focused on the reflect cabat.

Hi Booker Moose! I am sorry to "hijack" this thread, BUT I really really need your help and I can't seem to send you a message from your page. I am having SEVERE issues with my dog and his allergies. He is scratching at his mouth until his gums bleed. Well, I googled this and a post that you had made about your own dog, a few months ago, came up. You mentioned that your dog had the same problem and that you switched the food and that your dog got better very soon after that. Would you PLEASE please let me know what the name of that food was/is? I would appreciate that more than you know. We have tried MANY different brands of food over the years and currently, my dog is on a special veterinary food that really isn't helping him at all. All it does is help him to not smell yeasty - which I learned is also from allergies.
Thank you so much, in advance. :) |

Thanks guys - and I just wanted to clarify that I don't think the bag itself is boring, just that given all of the different rings out there on other BV bags that plain metal rings might be a bit boring!
And welcome HeatherMae - I don't think you can send PMs until you have a certain number (5, 10?) posts, but I'm happy to help out to the extent I can. The food we put Popcorn on that solved the scratching problem for her was Hills Prescription Diet Z/D - there are two different ones, one is "Low Allergen" and one is "Ultra Allergen" and we used the "Ultra" first which solved the problem for her. The vet said if that didn't work then we would have to start looking at environmental causes and that could get complicated - but luckily for us the food worked and we didn't have to go to the next stage. I would be happy to answer further questions but we should really take this conversation over now to the Chat thread (just above this one in the "Stickies" section) to keep in line with forum rules. Hope to see you there... |

I like how this bag looks being worn, seems to be a great size and depth since it doesn't have the flat straps like the campana, I wonder how well they will stay on the shoulder, if crossing the handles will be an option I hope it works fine, because I think it's a really pretty bag, I love the pleats |

I have seen and tried on the bag. I love the size (capacity) as it is slighter bigger than the medium campana and smaller than the large campana. It feels ok on the shoulder, but I did not put anything inside so that is probably not a fair assessment.
The only problem I would need to overcome if I want to get this bag is the boxy base. It is quite firm/hard and does not seem like it will slouch over time unlike the sloane or pyramid. This is quite a structured bag. I did not notice much on the rings as i was too excited by the size of it

I saw this bag in NYC this weekend..I thought the color is beautiful, the size is great..The profile to me was wide, like a sloane, and I do not know if it will slouch..it seemed a little boxy..Also, I don't know if the 2 straps will present the same problem that the large campana does, slipping of the shoulder.. I had to adjust the straps as I stood in front of the mirror..However, I can see the ease in accessing your stuff with the open top..just IMHO
