Default The George V
I called the UK BV boutique today to inquire the below bag from SS09:

The SA told me that the bag is George V in Copper Ostrich and it'll soon arrive in boutique. They don't know the exact retail price yet, but will be round 5,000 pounds.

Well, I really love this style, however, due to its exotic skin, the price is a bit Also I was told that the bag only comes in one color. After reading the threads on special order, I start to think may be it's good to make a SO in this style in metallic colors such as Ferro and Ottone? What do you all think?

Wow - that is quite the price... but it is SUCH a stunning bag. I'm glad it has a name, too - so we can know what we are referring to when we talk about it here! A SO in Ferro or Ottone might be a good option, and definitely more affordable than ostrich, but I would be reluctant to sink "even" that much into a bag without having seen the style IRL first - just in case the size and workings of the bag don't fit what I like in a bag. But if the style works for you - then definitely!

I just noticed this bag on a site that was posted on another thread - is it the same style?

And this one too from FW 08 - ostrich again but this time Ebano with croc trim... perhaps the same style (and all of them in ostrich)?

BookerMoose, I will definitely first see the bag IRL then decide if I want a SO. If it's the same style as the FW 08 Ostrich one, then that one is a bit bigger than the Montaigne. I find the Montaigne size fine for me, so I'm a bit worried if this style will be a bit bigger for me.

The first bag you posted looks similar but it's not woven leather. So this woven leather one is def. more expensive. I tend to think that it's the same one as the FW08 Ostrich one, but that one costs around $8k

I'm very much lean towards metallic for this style, the SO I'm thinking of are (pics courtesy of the BV reference threads, thanks everyone for the beautiful BVs!):

Ottone (for me probably the closest to the copper):

Parma Chevre (purple ottone):

Exotics:
Ottone karung:

Iron karung:

Ferro/Ottone Lizard (I'm not sure of the color name and leather of this one):

BookerMoose - the one at bygeorge.com looks like the George V bag. Did you notice that it is 22" long? That is duffle size!

I saw that - can that be a typo?! That is a pretty good price for an ostrich duffle, if so!
