doloresmia - I am so ordering the black satchel...again. If I cancel it again, BG/NM are going to ban me from their websites.

Da Bomb is a hell of a bombshell coming out to the public...lol. Magnificient in every way, the croc piping all over, wonderful details....this as a large tote/small carry - on size, and there is a beauty on your side! Does this piece exist in a bigger size or something similar that will take a 14 inch computer? :-)

I see that this bag has metal feet on the bag....is that correct? Do any of the totes or satchel like this have normally hardware underneath? I personally prefer it when I buy a large leather piece, while some "other' brand names are moving away from this very practical feature...

The prices are beyond my budget, but they are eye-catching! I wonder how they manage to make the weave look rounded rather than flat?

My guess is that the leather is sewn into a tube and stuffed with a little something in between each time it is woven through. Wouldn't you just love to see a bag like this being made?

From what I read, I believe the leather is padded, if not, though, it's double-weaved? I have to double check & confirm, but it is a new technique Tomas is implementing for these new bags...

This is really a beautiful bag. I went to the trunk show in Barneys a few months back and saw the second bag doloresmia posted. The leather caught my eyes immediately. The SA told me that it is a padded weave. They put a soft foam between the two layers of leather to get that rounded look. I tried it on and it was on the heavy side, maybe because of double layer. I'm sure bv.luxury will be able to confirm for everyone. It's a gorgeous bag but beyond my budget.

dolphingirl, bv.luxury - that is good information. would be great to see what else tomas does with this weave. i wonder if with the foam the bag hits 2.5 pounds given size?

I truly hope that it is not padded with foam. Aging is not kind to foam, and the real beauty of my vintage BV's is that they have survived beautifully over all these years - one over 30 years.

In any event, the look is gorgeous! - and I hope the longevity is as well.
