hi bv tpfers!

after posting a few threads asking about sloane colors, pricing, and the last one about the friends and family discount at Saks, i MADE UP MY MIND and went out and bought my very first bv yesterday, a ferro sloane! i've been eyeing bvs for quite a while now (i'm usually in the chanel forum) and although i wasn't as excited about the ferro color at first because i was quite smitten by a past season's color (scala), ferro is definitely growing on me. i think the color is super versatile and will match the crazy palette of colors that usually makes up my wardrobe.

i really want to thank y'all for the enabling

and i'm super excited about my first bv. you are all so helpful and nice! one more question, i noticed a faint stamp in the leather that says bottega veneta, but are there any other things that comes with the sloane? i got a little card that was sealed. anything else?

Congratulations. Other than the controllato card, there is a sewn in authenticity tag. Look inside the inner zippered pocket. It is small and sewn into a seam.

Congratulations daluu! It looks amazing on you! To answer your question, there will be a white tag sewn into the seam of the lining of the inside pocket with the style and colour numbers and some other information (which we have never entirely figured out...). Other than that and the cards I think that is it for the Sloane - some BVs come with mirrors in the same (unwoven) leather as the bag. We also haven't quite ever figured out what bags have mirrors and which don't, but I am pretty sure the Sloane doesn't come with one.

CONGRATULATIONS!! It is so cool we both got ferro sloanes on the F&F event! It looks great on you and mine didn't come with a mirror either, just the little envelope!

jburgh and bookermoose- thanks for the extra info. i definitely want to have all the "stuff" that comes with the bag. i tell myself i'm a "collector" so that i wouldn't feel so bad about buying so many bags for only two arms. good to know that the white tag was in the inside pocket. i was looking everywhere for some sort of "authenticity" indicator.

anhzie- it was acutally YOUR post that got me thinking about getting my sloane asap through friends and family at Saks. YOU are the ultimate enabler!

mid- hahaha...i actually have my eyes on a chanel wallet on a chain....but bottegas sure are lovely...after the chanel, i think i better stop for a LONG time. eek!

does anyone know if bottega veneta boutiques are willing to give empty boxes away? or do i have to buy a box? when i bought my sloane at Saks, my sa had the bv dustbag but not a bv box. he said they normally trash all their boxes...i have a Saks box, but it would be nice to get a bv box to match.
