There are also trunk shows at the San Francisco and New York (Madison Avenue) Barney's.

The NYC one is on Monday, November 10th - Tuesday, November 11th, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM... Gah, of course they have it on weekdays...

doloresmia, jeaniep, Mid - I'd love to go but I believe the timing is bad ....Hope one of you can make it. It would be great if someone does go and provide us with a full report with many pictures.

do you think it is ok to take photos? i have never gone to a trunk show before. if so, i would HAPPILY scope things out for folks here. in fact it would be my duty

a good friend of mine used to manage the Barneys in BH, i will ask.

as preparation for the BV trunk show in two weeks, i went to the derek lam trunk show. i must say that was a bit of a bust. the clothes were not well merchandised, just crowded on a rack so you had no sense of shape or the story. Everything was grey, peachy/beige and black. it wasn't even interesting enough to fondle. my apologies to anyone who went and loved the derek lam stuff. as i like derek lam, i am sure they had great pieces, just more commenting on the disappointing display.

the barneys SAs (who vastly outnumbered the shoppers) followed us everywhere. they said that BV would have purses and clothes. i am not sure i will be able to take pictures given the set up. but will definitely report back on the burnt orange and other colors as best i can if i go (what are you kidding? of course i am going)
