Default So upset - my Cassis Wallet arrived damaged
So after finally deciding on the Continental Tab wallet in Cassis, it arrives today and its either defective or has been used. The tab that closes the wallet has scratches and the leather almost worn off the edge. I called Bal Harboor and talked to the salesperson helping me and said it was coming back They normally only give you a store credit or exchange but I didn't give him a choice and said that since it was defective they had to credit my card which they agreed to do. Oh well.....

So sorry to hear that, it's horrible to think that a BV boutique would send out a damaged item to you! I'm glad that your getting your money back, hopefully there is another BV wallet out there for you.

That's unacceptable. Good for you being firm with the return.

Awe, that is so sad - what a way to ruin the excitement of the new arrival. Glad that they were okay about the return... and hope you find something else to take its place.

loriw, I'm so sorry...I know how disappointed you are. I've had nothing but trouble with that store in Bal Harbour. They sent me a coin purse that was scratched, faded and sad looking. I returned it to the SA from another store who had tracked it down for me. My credit was never processed. When I called to follow up, the Bal Harbour store sent me the same coin purse! This time I returned it directly to them using the address on the receipt and the PO refused to deliver it b/c it didn't have a suite number. Another PF member had a bag sent from that store in a box that was way too small and the bag was all creased and smooshed. Supposedly, there's a new manager there. I'm glad you stood your ground about a refund but follow up to see that it was actually credited to your CC.

loriw - So sorry to hear about the wallet debacle. I've had my share of mail order Bottega issues lately, so I feel your pain.

LLANeedle - What a hassle. Thanks for relaying that information. hopefully it will help some others avoid future problems. And yes, I am still up at 3:22am.

Wow - well that actually makes me feel better. For the kind of money BV (and other luxury retailers) charge, there really should be better quality control. I'll be sure to follow up and make sure they credit me promptly. I sent it with delivery confirmation so as soon as it arrives, you can bet I'll be calling them!!

It is really sad to hear such poor customer service at BV. Is there a way to let the headquarter know these issues?
