Default Sloane or Campana ?
Hi,

I am tossing between these 2 for my next purchase !

I sort of like the Sloane better because it feels slouchier and not as structured.

Is it easy to use though ?

I eventually want both of them though provided I find the colour that I like.

I want something violet and something neutral like brown or caramel.

There is one curry coloured one at fashionphile.

I am not too sure about this colour though .... any input ?

What do you guys think ?

SLoane is a wonderful bag! I love mine and so is the Campana. The large Campana has a lovely drape as does the Sloane.

I believe that there are some action shots of the Curry Sloane posted. There is a dark Truffle in the Sloane that is TDF!! Kind of a dark brownish purple. Very neutral and gorgy!

The Curry Sloane is a mustard color, very nice! adds a nice splash of color. The Sloane is a beautiful bag, it drapes so nicely and the absence of hardware allows you to wear with any color hardware on belt, shoes or jewelry. Flexible, can be worn up or down...

The Large Campana is a more casual bag IMHO, more relaxed and the Large is large! I love it in Ebano most, own it in Crimson (Medium).

If you are looking for an everyday bag, go Campana first and pick up a Sloane later (but Curry might be all gone as that was a seasonal color).

I've been no help, sorry...

I am a Sloane fan. Love the drape. The Campana is also nice. No help here, either... I suppose I prefer the single strap of the Sloane for shoulder carry. The Campana may be easier to get in/out of, but I do not find the Sloane to be difficult.

I have a Ferro Sloane, and absolutely LOVE it!!! The drape is great, and I just think it's such an iconic shape!

With regards to color, I completely agree with Kroquet ... the Dark Truffle is just gorgeous IRL!

I have the curry sloane and have been wearing it all summer. I was hesitant at first about the colour too, but surprisingly it goes with almost anything as it add pop of colour to my outfit (since I tend to dress quite monotoned).

I have the tangerine large veneta so I don't know whether I should get the curry one or should I get something a bit different like truffle or violet.

I mean would the curry be too similar to tangerine. I know that they are literally different colour but I mean they are sort of in the same family of colour.

I live in Australia so buying BV is a pain as they don't have store here !

That is why I generally have to buy from Ebay or Malleries or Fashionphile.

Not sure not sure.... I love the sloane though as I generally don't like hardware.

I really really want a grape or violet sloane actually. Just don't know how to obtain it from here.

I probably shouldn't rush and buy the curry one for now I think.

Maybe after the season ends the purples will start to arrive at resellers.

The BV boutique in Hawaii ships around the world, call Bryan and have a chat with him about Gladiol, he recently sent me a bunch of pictures when I was trying to decide between Gladiol & DK Bramble. Mine is Nero.

I have both the Sloane and Campana and I like having both. If I had to pick only one I could have it would be the Sloane. The only issue I've heard people discuss is that the bag opening doesn't open up terribly wide. Of course an issue with the Cammpana is that it does!!

The Sloane looks different being carried than it does sitting on the ground. It has the most gorgeous drape!

Oh, and I have the curry Sloane and really like the color, but I would recommend waiting for another color for your first. Sloanes do pop up on ebay and on the resellers websites. There is this one on luxuryexchange.com....I think it might be ebano. It has been there for months and months because they have had it priced too high. If you end up being interested you might contact them and send a counter offer.

I just looked at it again and I don't think it is ebano, but I don't know the color codes.

I don't have any affiliation with this seller, but this is a real steal and gives you a great idea of what curry looks like.

Personally, although I love curry, i would GRAB the gladiol sloane. you will never have fear of dye transfer and it is a lovely neutral, but a little color and totally different from the bag you have.

here are pix i posted from bryan.... he told me they only bought a few of these for the US market, so i am afraid they won't be around long if you really want one.

That curry one is a steal!! I would have said before I saw it that $1,500 would be a good price for one that was in excellent condition.

Deloresmia, I would appreciate it if you would stop posting pictures of that gladiol sloane. Just when I get it out of my mind, there you go again.
