Default shameless ripoff by Big Budha brand
Check this out - this brand ripps off all major designer styles shamelessly
Here is their take on a BV bag - not sure what is the BV style name, but it is clearly BV

XXXXXXXXXXXXXX no publicity for them

ewww... Its so far from BV, I'm not sure I'm even offended. That bag does not seem to be offering a pleasant tactile experience.

I can understand that this is very upsetting for you.
But not knowing the intention of the designer for this brand... I can only say that I don't think they are trying to rip off the BV style. I have seen a lot of woven bags...bags with that similar pattern at many department stores and other lines of "no-name" handbags. The woven style is not uncommon.

ricera - I'm with you. It doesn't look enough like a BV to be concerned.

It reminds me more of Cole Haan than BV. Just IMO.

Blech. I dont think you'd be fooling anybody though. You know who is also guilty of that is Nine West.

This is commonly done- taking the basic design or design element and either making it as close a possible but changing at least something - only a stitch is needed - or reinterpreting it slightly. Just changing the dimensions is sufficient - just so long as you do not try to appropriate the trademark or mark the item with another's name and try to pass it off as a BV or Jimmy Choo. In this case, it is not a counterfeit, just a "reinterpretation"/copy. Not illegal or a problem. It is the lifeblood of fashion and you will see it after every collection is presented. You should only be concerned if this is a counterfeit - or an artist or artisan whose work is commonly taken to China by others to produce without paying for design work and brought back to sell to big box stores or larger retailers - and there is nothing that you can do about it. You hope that your customers are looking for quality and the "real thing".

This topic comes up on a regular basis. I edited the posts because we don't give the the fakers/replicas any publicity. There are fakers, it ticks people off, leaving it at that.
