Hi Everyone, I only have one black handbag (YSL Tribute) in my collection. And I usually don't go for black handbags too much, opting instead for browns/tans and metallics. I'm thinking I need a grab and go bag though that can go from my conservative workplace to the weekend. I want it to be black but not boring. I'm loving the large Black Tornabuoni right now and the Belly, any thoughts on the these would be much appreciated!

Hi Bag! Good to know there is another Charlotte gal on here.

I am impressed that you only have 1 black bag. I have 9 black Chanels and 2 black BVs. I really love black though!

Regarding your question, I really like both bags. But, if I had to choose one I would probably go for the Tornabuoni since I love the veneta design. Is the Belly design a lot different from the veneta? I recall it looking similar but can't remember exactly...post pics if you can of the two. That will help us help you. Good Luck choosing and maybe we'll get to meet up sometime soon.

^^^ Hey Marv! Thanks for replying, love to meet other Bag Obsessed Women in Charlotte! I'm going to look for some pics. I've not seen it IRL but the Belly appears wider. The Tornabuoni is so gorg in Black though so luxe! Your bag collection sounds fab, I think your black is my brown!

Hey BagLoving, decisions, decisions! Hehe. I would opt for the Tornabuoni. Although the Belly is nice, from another thread I remembered you already have a veneta(s) (copper rame, TDF!!!)....I see the Belly and Veneta as somewhat similar. The T is exquisite and totally different...I would say go with the T! Then post your pic!

^^LOL! I totally agree with Baccarat. I just went to the veneta reference thread and saw the belly. It is very similar and does appear wider. The Tornabuoni is just fabulous! It definitely gives the bag depth and texture beyond what the belly gives. And no, it is not boring AT ALL! I say go for the Tornabuoni! Post pics so we can drool when you decide!

Well BagLoving, it seems like MarvelGirl and I are both partial to the T bag...and we two also love black bags (black is never boring IMHO...always classy!).

MarvelGirl, just saw sig file with your Chanel and BV collection. Amazing! If I had that kind of collection I would probably wear all of my bags at once (at home, not out) and then faint from pure bliss!

Awww, thanks so much for the lovely words regarding my collection, Baccarat and Bag.

The crazy thing is that those are not all. I have 16 total Chanels that I love and 6 total BVs (I'm really small potatoes though as my numbers are still far less than some ladies here on tPF). AND to make matters worse, I am going to be getting that darn Burnt Marshmallow cabat from SS10. I seriously need to be on ban once that one is here though...or else I will have to be committed! CCCRRRRAAAZZZYYY!!

^^^Gone! I didn't realize that BlueFly carried BV?? I'm assuming BlueFly is 100% legit? There is a gorg Maxi, I think in the Truffle color right now!

I've bought BV from BlueFly and they are legit.

Regarding a go-to BV, Venetas are so comfortable. Don't have a Belly bag so I can't comment on the comfort.

Have you considered the Nero Pleated Veneta? It is gorgeous and can be found on the secondary market.

My vote is the "T" bag though. I purchased a muted brown large size cosmetic bag from BlueFly a couple of weeks back, they added more this a.m. along with a Dusty Brown Large Veneta-Talk about having to resist, I walked away from the computer. BTW is Muted Brown a color that B.V. uses as a description color or is that a color BlueFly made up?. TIA!!

The Tournabouni is bigger than the Belly bag, but the Matita Belly Bag is a nicer color. While the pattern on the Tournabouni makes it more interesting, the Specks on the Matita goatskin of the Belly is more interesting (to me).

That is a tough choice... I would probably end up with the Belly Bag... You were talking about the Matita Belly bag right or was it the Veneta Belly?
If it's the Veneta Belly you are referring to then I would prefer the Tournabouni, the Veneta Belly is not doing much for me...
