Default Roma Bag
Hey Bottega Veneta Ladies,

I am going to Rome on Saturday, and I was thinking of getting the ROMA Bag. Do any of you how much it is in Euros and in which colours it comes in?
I am thinking of black- classic and timeless.
But the new Blue/greyish colour is beautiful.
What are the other colours??

Love to hear your opinions..

Saskia

I don't want to hijack your thread...but, there's a new blueish-gray color? wth? I feel so clueless about BV's current color offerings...

Hey. Yes there is. Check it out www.neimanmarcus.com

Its really beautiful. It reminds me of Jeans. I dont know why.
But look fab. wearing plain faded jeans with a white tshirt.

But somehow I think I should get it in Black- it fits to everything then.

I stilld dont get the Bottega Veneta colours myself.

Its really confussing because all the sites like neiman marcus etc call it the colours differently but also call the bags just tote oder hobo.

I really adore the Old Petra- Are bags still available in that colour?

Ladies- in what other colors does the Roma come in?

Sasia!:)

Or should I get the Tote?!

http://www.bergdorfgoodman.com/store...61004cat218201

It seems to carry more.

But the roma itself has the nicer design I think

The tote is like many other bags (the design- just the leather of course is special)

Ladies?!

Hi Saskia, what a sweet idea to get the Roma in Roma!

It should be 1950 Euro, but I`m sorry, I don`t know what colour it comes in currently.

Oh, I forgot. Since the Roma is made of Nappa Umbria, I don`t think it actually comes in black. I think someone said only Nappa bags come in black, apparently it´s not possible to have the wax on the black colour or whatever.

And re the tote, it depends on what you like more, three compartments as has the Roma or just one big compartment.

I say try on both!

Saskia, I couldn't find the blue color on the NM website, maybe you could post another link?

Old Petra is totally sold out in the boutiques, although I haven't tried a Saks or NM locater. Usually the department store SA's are clueless (worse than me) about the style or color names. I did have an SA at BV in Las Vegas tell me that you could special order any style of bag in whatever color you wanted, so there's still a way to get a bag in Old Petra if you really wanted to.

hey ladies...

no no, the roma comes in black. Here in Vienna, Europe, there is only 1 Store what carries B. Veneta Bag and it usually has like 6 only:( I asked them about the Roma in Black (they have the blue/grey Bag) and they told me they could order it for me. Here in Austria it costs 1850E.

But I am a bit confussed - the Roma comes in different sizes? I thought its just the Roma and this Tote.

Oh and about old petra- I read in a thread its purple- I see it as a very beautiful tanned blonde colour- but I dont see something near violet/purple?! Em I colour Blind???

and yoga- I cant find it myself anymore- I am sorry I guess I saw it somewhere else on the net!

^I`m surprised that Kasha would actually quote you 1850 when it is 1950 in the catalogue (seeing that Amicis, the only store that carries BV for men around here charges 10% more than the RRP)

Anyways, the Roma comes in only one size but it hast three compartments.

There is a colour swatch of OP that Bunkie made in the Old Petra thread.

The roma bag came in Ferro which is a gunmetal grey color from fall/winter. It's a great dark color that is not black.

Old Petra is a chameleon of a color; in some lights it is brownish with hints of purple, in other lights it is truly mauve. It's a special color that you have to see in person to truly appreciate.

SaskiaS, I bought my Roma in the Rome store last November and I can't remember exactly but I think it's the same price as you were quoted. It's possible it was slightly less, but if so, only about 1700 euro. The store is quite beautiful - they had a lot of goodies. Enjoy your trip!

I love the Roma bag! Which color is blue/grey? The BV site has some new bags in a cement color that looks a little like your description.

No matter what the color, you cannot go wrong with a Roma, and what better way to commemorate your trip.
