Congratulations on your first BV! I love the vintage pieces--the leather becomes unbelievably soft. Gorgeous color, too!

Anyone know when this bag may have been released? I know vintage in purses isn't as old as I normally associate with vintage.

And what do I do with the mirror? I'm afraid I'll break it if I leave it in the purse!

Thanks to Baggiana on Authenticate This!
You are so welcome, cz!!! Your enthusiasm and love of purple just brings a smile to my face! I believe that bag was probably produced in the 80's. She is such great shape for such a vintage piece! You can do whatever you want with the mirror. I adore using mine (am a real fanatic about wanting one with my bags) and keep it in the zipper pocket. I have never broken or scratched one because I do not store sharp objects in the zipper pocket. But that is just my fetish... If you do not feel comfortable carrying it, just live it at home. I guarantee you that your beautiful BV purple bag will be just a lovely with or without the mirror.

You should see my wedding plans... Seems like purple will be the theme!

Oh, Yay! My bag and I could be the same age!

The mirrors could be interesting to collect, but I can be a klutz and would worry about it with my keys and other hard objects in my purse.

Thanks for all your help again!

Thanks for the warm wishes Baggiana and CX827!

Now if only I can work my purses into the wedding... maybe a clutch at the reception.

Gorgeous bag, can't believe how good the condition is (considering it's age)!
Good luck with all the wedding preparations, must be so exciting.

Definitely a clutch... but there is also a vintage flower wristlet, but I have never seen it in purple. BTW, there is another purple vintage BV up for auction now, and the price is low, but will go higher:

It could drive you crazy... and use up your campana savings.

Magnifique!! I just bought my first purple bag! A YSL Marjorelle. I must say the color does make a statement and is much more versatile than I ever had imagined! I'm a brown/black handbag girl. It feels great to go out of the box! Wear it well!
