Default Please suggest: The first BV bag
After my BV wallet, I would like to buy one bag now :)

Because of the budget, cabat is too expensive for me to afford.

I am considering to buy a more classic one. Now the candidates are Ball, Veneta and Sloane.

Which one would you suggest to buy as the first BV? Besides the three, if you have better suggestions, please also let me know:)

Thanks in advance:)

All of your choices sound good but imy personal favorites icons are veneta, campana, and montaigne. You can't go wrong with any one of these in nero or ebano

radishhb -Tell me what you are looking for in a bag? One for the crook of your arm, or for your shoulder? Are you going to be wearing it where there are possible pickpockets? Do you have any dexterity issues with zippers? How much stuff do you carry in your bag?

Thank you, foxie-pooh and jburgh:)

Jburgh, I am looing for a bag which should be able to carry over the shoulder. Yes, the bag should have zippers, which make me feel safe. :P

Normally, I put a wallet, a PDA, a medium size cosmetic bag and the keys, coin purse, and a cell phone in my bag.

Thanks again :)

I think the Veneta would be great, with various sizes to chose from too.

A medium or large veneta would be perfect for what you need. The veneta carries really well on your shoulder, is balanced and super-lightweight! However, it swallows your stuff easily, has a zip closure and has pockets for your phone/keys.

My DW has both a medium and large veneta and she throws her Nora Roberts, her wallet, her cosmetic pouch, her keys, her blackberry, the mirror (that comes with the veneta) all into it with no problems. Plus, the veneta retains its shape with all these inside.

My suggestion, go for a classic colour, like ebano, camel or nero first. Then, once you are happy and want some splash of colour, get a 2nd one in seasonal colours, like regent, moutarde, colonial or whatever.

I agree - a large or medium Veneta would suit your requirements. Plus it is an absolutely gorgeous style and feels well balanced on the shoulder. I also concur with the colors....ebano or nero. I just happen to like the ebano - think smooth, rich, milk chocolate brown. But, the nero is great too, black bags are so versatile.

another vote for the veneta. it's classic BV, has the zippers you are looking for, and drapes beautifully on the body. if you plan to wear this with winter coats though, many in the forum recommend to get the large size so you'll be able to wear it on the shoulder better.

I vote for a large Veneta in Ebano, so you get to enjoy more yummy BV leather, along with the most classic BV colour there is

medium or large veneta! If you can, try them on prior to buying, so that you'll know which one will work best for you.

Another Veneta vote... it's my first BV as well since it's so classic. I like the medium on me, but try on the sizes to find out what works best for you!

Radishhb, I didn't wade in on your question because unfortunately I have no personal experience with any of your three options - but if you had included the Montaigne in there I would definitely have voted for it! And I'm not just saying that because I ALWAYS choose the Montaigne (although that is true too) - but it really does seem to meet all of your requirements except perhaps being easily wearable on the shoulder... it does fit on the shoulder although it can be a bit tight depending on the size of your upper arm and whether you are wearing a thick winter coat...
