Hi all, I've been lurking around the BV forum for a while admiring all your gorgeous bags and I think I'm finally ready to take the plunge and get my first BV. But here's the problem...the bag I've been admiring has disappeared from my local NM
I know, that's what I get for waiting and being indecisive ![]() If any of you have seen this bag in the dark brown color (ebano I think it's called?), could you let me know? TIA!

^^it looks darker than noce, but not as dark as ebano, so I'm sort of lost. others may know better than I!

It's possible its neither ebano or noce. When I purchased this same bag last year in azzardo green, BV informed me that they produce certain colors specifically for these deerskin bags that they do not offer in the other leathers. HTH

Thanks for all the info everyone. I'm definitely not that familiar with all the BV colors yet. The one on BlueFly is really pretty, just not the color I'm looking for (I already have a Fendi in a very similar color). I know for a fact this bag was made in a dark chocolate brown color, I just can't find one. Please, please let me know if you come across one. Can you tell I'm desperate for this bag?

Have you tried calling or emailing the Bottega Veneta personal shopper? (I believe her name is Ana.) She is very helpful and I bet she could track one down for you (albeit at full price). Here's the link on bottegaveneta.com... http://www.bottegaveneta.com/shoponl...alshopper.aspx |

Kate79, I think I saw this bag in dark brown at my Saks. I know it had the braided handle and was fairly large, but don't recall if the weaving was the same (may have been just solid leather rather than having the strip of weaving). I do remember that it was dark brown rather than noce. PM me for the contact numbers, they may be able to send you a pic or transfer it to a Saks closer to you.

Thank you ladies so much for your help. I hadn't even thought of contacting the BV personal shopper - that is an excellent idea!
Now my indecisiveness is kicking in again. I just saw this on BlueFly for about the same price as the braided handle tote and I think I *might* like this style more. What do you ladies think? Given the choice between the two styles, which would you get? http://www.bluefly.com/pages/product...&Nu=Product+ID Oh, and thank you for the offer ouija board - I'll PM you if I can ever make up my mind. |

kate79, both are beauties but the tote style works best for me since I dress very casually. If I "dressed" for work, I'd go with the bowler.
