Owners Of The New Ball Bag??

I have some questions for owners of the new BALL bag? How have you been enjoying yours? Does it maintain its shape or get slouchier looking? How is the comfort on your shoulder? Do you ever wear it on the crook of your arm? Do you always use the separate suede compartment or do you leave it out? How do you find the opening to get your stuff out? Do you always use that clip across the top or do you leave it dangling? If it dangles, does it scratch the leather inside? and lastly, if you own a large veneta , how would you compare the 2 styles. decisions..decisions there are too many options !!

prestwick, I have a new ball in nero and I love it. Though the leather seems a bit softer than when I got it, it has maintained it's shape. I would not describe it as slouchy like the veneta. It's very comfortable on my shoulder as well as in the bend of my arm or when I hand carry it. If I'm concerned about security, I use the pouch for my valuables and secure the clip. But I must admit, getting my wallet in and out of the pouch can be annoying. The suede is very soft and collapses easily. More often, I just use the clip to keep the sides of the bag aligned. If the clip is open it hits the suede lining more than it hits the inside leather so I'm not concerned about scratches. IMHO, the new ball is a different "look" than a veneta. I'm using it tonight for a business dinner. My veneta would be too casual to use. I hope this helps.

How have you been enjoying yours? I prefer the venta cause I like the slouchier look. Also, I have the large veneta and I think the ball is about the same size as the med veneta. I like the longer drop of the lg veneta, plus the extra room. However, my friends say the ball looks better on me cause it isn't so huge lol.

Does it maintain its shape or get slouchier looking? I haven't used it enough to answer that one. But, it seems more structured.

How is the comfort on your shoulder? The veneta is more comfortable on me.

Do you ever wear it on the crook of your arm? It seems easier to wear on the arm than the lg veneta.

Do you always use the separate suede compartment or do you leave it out? Leave it out.

How do you find the opening to get your stuff out? Easier than fiddling with a zipper. My stuff seems secure enough so I don't worry about things falling out.

Do you always use that clip across the top or do you leave it dangling? If it dangles, does it scratch the leather inside? I don't think it will scratch the leather. Sometimes I do it up and sometimes I just leave it.

Thanks for asking the questions. I love the new ball, though I'm still looking for one to buy. Comparing it to the Veneta, I like that the Ball has more structure. I don't look good with a slouchy bag.

if the clip is on, is it still possible to get things in and out of the bag? my campana is a medium so i can hardly keep the magnet closure together and i find the opening too wide to be secure, so i always fasten the clip across the bag. but since the opening is roomy, i can still get my things easily even with the closure. is it the same for the new ball bag?

Sum, I can remove items from the sides of the clips if they're closed. But it's nearly impossible to remove the pouch which is why I use that for my valuables if security is necessary. Sunspark is right.....the interior of the new ball holds about as much as the medium veneta but it presents like a much larger bag because of the width and structure.

I love the structure of the bag, which is why I opted for the ball instead of the Veneta. Also DH said the ball was more flattering on me. I keep the top fastened and I use the suede compartment (but I leave it slightly open for easy in and out, even with the clip). I like having a shoulder bag that fits so well under my arm.
