Default OMG! Saks.com sent me a FAKE BV!!
I ordered an Ebano Ball bag off of Saks.com yesterday. I received the package today and not only was it the incorrect bag, but the bag I received was a FAKE veneta - a poor replica of the med copper rame. The material was obviously fake, the lining was cheap cotton, no Bottega markings at all. The zipper did not even run from end to end on the top of the bag! I was sooo upset. I called Saks.com immediately and explained it all to them. They are having fedex pick it up. I enclosed a BIG note in the box telling them it was a fake and to please not send it out again to an unsuspecting customer. The bag was in a Bottega dustbag with a Saks ticket attached to the drawstring of the dustbag. "Wrong Bag" was written in ink on the ticket. Talk about poor quality control!! I just hope my return goes OK.

I've seen this happen first hand! I was with my husband at a department store (watch shopping) and noticed that one of the Movado's looked weird. I tried it on and noticed it was really light! Then on a second look, I noticed that on the bottom it said "Swiss Courts" instead of "Swiss Made"! I told the SA and she said, "People buy a watch/necklace/bag from a store and then "return it" with a
fake item. In turn they are getting the real thing at the fake price."
It's reallllly messed up! How do they feel good about wearing a stole item:(
I'm glad you noticed!

Well, fortunately you are dealing with Saks..

No doubt they know what the right thing to do without question.

You will get your refund, hands down!!

I have heard several reports of this happening. Luckily, the big department stores make good on the item. I just hope they don't pop it back on the warehouse shelf.

Did you take and save pictures of the bag they sent? Saks should take it back, since they seem to be aware that they have a problem (maybe they should attach a label to the bag that once removed would eliminate the possibility to return the bag). If you have pics, and do run into a problem PM me.

^No, I didn't take any pictures. I don't have a camera, only a camera phone. I wonder if someone else already received this bag by "mistake" and just sent it back indicating it was the wrong item. It was in a BV bag with a Ebano Ball tag attached saying "wrong bag". What really bothers me is that someone unfamiliar with BV might have just kept the bag.

That's terrible--I'm so sorry this happened to you. It's disappointing that they don't have better control of the items that they accept as returns.

Shame on the person who committed this fraud!

My GF is a top Saks exce, we were having a conversation just this past weekend about how someone returned a fake B-bag to the store and the Store Mgr spotted it back on the selling floor, had it removed immediately and the investigation began. They have identified the thief! She also said that most of the big names have sent trainers to the stores to teach the store Mgrs and Asst. Mgrs how to spot fakes of their brands. Guess they will have to do the same with the online shipping location/warehouse! I will be sure to tell her about this incident. WOW! Some very dishonest people out there!

wt80014 hope you get the 'Real Ball Bag' in ebano soon!!

Cheers,
