Jack is so cute. We have a rescued black lab we named Kali. She was almost five years old when we got her four years ago but she's turned out to be the best dog we've ever had.

kroquet, Jack is so lucky to find his home with you! His face does look like a little old man lol!

NWPurselover, good luck in your search for a rescue dog to love. My son and dil have adopted 3 dogs and they swear that when they meet the right dog, they know right away. I take longer to decide. There is some lucky dog out there for you!

Is the Brussels Griffon the same dog in As Good It Gets with Jack Nicholson?

Happy holidays to everyone from me too. And it is snowing again here... I have always complained we don't get White Christmasses in Vancouver and now I am paying the price - what was I thinking?! I hope the winter weather almost everywhere this year doesn't stop you all from getting together with family and friends this holiday season.

Hope you are all safe and warm with your loved ones. And if you are in the southern hemisphere/warm climate, hope it's not too hot.

I've been rather bummed and down the last couple of weeks and the weather has been nasty, but the beautiful and ever so brief sunray that came into my kitchen window on winter solstice lifted my spirit up a bit.

And, the plissé version of my HG shawl arrived today from the other side of the planet. Can't wait to open it tomorrow morning!!

Happy Holidays everyone and I hope the weather is nice for all.
Very sunny and mild today, in fact, I have some windows open for fresh air!

ReRe - Jack is the same dog as in the movie. He is a mess!! Got a clean bill of health today and is scheduled to be whacked in a 4 weeks!! I think I am going to talk the DH into taking him to that appt! This is going to sound awful, but it was almost harder seeing him cry getting shots than my own kids!! Now, with my luck, my DD, who is a member will see this and give me all sorts of grief!!!

Mid - what is the HG shawl? Can't wait to see it. Love the plisse scarves. I bought my Mom a Christmas pochette that is just gorgeous and I can't wait to see her face. She has never had anything Hermes and it is inside the box with a new blouse that matches.

I haven't read that book but have read others by her. Any book recommendations from the BV group?

Good morning! It is snowing here, too. OY. I heard n NPR this morning that
Vancouver has more snow than the North Pole! Ha!

He have postponed all get togethers until the roads have cleared. It is just me and the DH cooped up here together until it is all over.

Happy Holidays and be safe!

kroquet, you are such a sweetheart to get your mom those lovely gifts. No wonder you get the sweetest gift like Jack. He does look like a wise old man indeed.

This is my first plissé and I'm hoping it's as easy to wear as many claim. Will post pics maybe tomorrow.

Happy holiday wishes to everyone here as well! I have said this before, but worth saying again, what a great pleasure it has been getting to know everyone virtually. Also nice to know that when I start traveling again, there will be many lovely ladies to visit with in many fabulous cities!
