Well we know it isn't a Roma! Did you find a Capri? Maybe a Sloane?

Thank you so much, goldenflower. What you said means a lot to me as I am very sentimental too. I think this whole experience will be a great reminder that I must cherish every single moment with him while doing my best as his mother, which I often forget in our busy life.

I'm looking forward to seeing and trying all the new colours and styles at the boutique. I won't be buying any bags for a while as my mini is just so perfect, and most of the colours this season will not work for my colouring anyway, but it's still fun to check all the beauties out.

And, I will also look forward to mouseptrolix's yet another beautiful reveal, as I have no idea what her new acquisition would be.

A tiny little clue to make ya"ll's guessing more fun:
It is from the last collection, it is not veneta, solane, capri, cabat or campagna, not roma, it is not big and not too small, and it is not shown in any tpf pics I could find in reference forum. Sooooo- what is it? It will arrive WEd or thursday next week!!!

I, too, am sentimental - it took me 8 years after he graduated from high school, left and gradutated from college and had been working in NYC for 4 before I accepted that my boy was grown and gone. We are still close, but not the same way, and for that I mourn - just ask my DH! But I did live in the moment when he was with me - and life was never so much fun... because he is the most enthusiastic person I have ever known and really funny! - each day was a treasure!... even the bad ones. I have my memories, and more to collect as he makes his adult life and family... so I shall just be growing my family. It was a role I am thankful that I played... I would not have missed being his mother for anything! Yes, I do feel the loss physically... but my mind is at peace. I take great satisfaction that he is a happy person.

Enjoy each moment you have, even those where you become the spectator in his life, rather than the central player. It is all a gift!!!

The weather is perfect for the 4th of July (though a bit windy for fireworks) here in Jersey, but my husband I are just vegging around, missing our son. It's good to have time like this though, I'm enjoying tPF for the first time in a long time after the crazy few weeks at work.

Hey, Booker, which ones of your cuties are from the US?

Thanks, BookerMoose! Wishing all a very Happy Independence Day (no matter when or where)! It is raining here, but I have heard that the storms will pass by the time the fireworks shows are scheduled to start.

To celebrate, yesteday my DH and I went canoeing on a couple of the tributaries of the Meramec River... those rivers are usually too low to canoe, but were just perfect, and amazingly beautiful! Barely any traffic, and challenging enough to make it one of my favorite trips... (unlike the Eagle River float last year where I went body surfing down the river in a class III/IV area - and oh so cold from the snow melt! - I may be getting too old for this!). This years trip was as near to perfect as one could get. A great way to celebrate the holiday - and today it is food, friends and fun!

Our American beagles are our eldest two, Booker (from Camano Island, Washington) and Moose (from Ritzville, Washington). Our two youngest are from St. John's, Newfoundland (Popcorn) and Edmonton, Alberta (Buzz).
