Welcome to BV, dyyong! Yes, please do a reveal thread when your Veneta arrives. I see you already went to the "Introduce Yourself" thread. Have you ever visited the BV boutique in NYC?

i usually go to this place call AMERICANA in Manhasset (smaller version of 5th avenue) in Long Island to shop, and I passed by BV boutique every times and I never step one foot in there , afraid of the price tag

Is anyone familiar with this bag on sale at Saks.com?

http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/main/...=1245657345280

Is this a good price? Is this a good everyday bag? Thanks!

dyyong,
I noticed your avatar pic.
I think I just sent you a message on Bonanzle.
I was eyeing on the ebano bag you bought on Bonanzle.
The price was too good to be true.
I requested additional pix from the seller.
I don't mean to make you worried but I think the leather stamp of this bag looks strange. The seller also said she couldnt find the authenticity tag inside the pocket.
I think you should get it authenticated again.
Here is a pic she sent me.

Dyyong, LOVE Manhasset!!!! 5th & Mad Aves are nice to shop at but the ease of parking in Manhasset is really nice!!

Mid, you scored a Mini Cabat? You sneaky rascal! I'm dying to see some pictures!!! Congrats! A Cabat deserves it's very own reveal thread.

dyyong, you should have brought the auction to the authenticate this bv before you made the purchase. I am one of the frequent authenticators. If this is the one that I believe it to be, and if this picture represents the imprinted nameprint, then the bag is not authentic (but a counterfeit) - regardless of what the seller says. Why don't you take the auction to the correct thread and let us take a look. If it is a fake, you may have recourse with Bonanzle... there are some around here that use that venue, though I do not.

bags4fun, your quilt is beautiful! I love buying fabric and I love quilts, I just hate to sew. My tailor laughs that I needlepoint and knit all the time yet ask her to sew on buttons for me. I tell her I'm not good with sharp needles, only blunt ones.

I believe that it is, but bring the listing here and post just to make certain:

Authenticate This Bottega Veneta (Please use correct format, see post #1)

This thread is the wrong place to discuss this any further.

Just popping in to quickly say hi! as I'm having a crazy crazy week. I did trainings in NJ on Mon & Tue, flew in the UK today, have more trainings on Thu & Fri, fly back to NJ on Fri evening, then drive up to NH on Sat!

Not a chance to drop by the BVs in London...

Anyway, thank you, BookerMoose, Baggiana, Lululala, and LT bag lady! I'm hoping to do a new thread for my mini sometime next week.

BookerMoose, glad to hear that Booker is doing well!

Cheers!

HI ladies,
I am just popping into the chat thread.

I was wondering if any of you experienced this kind of strange stressful feeling when you know you must have a bag.... Before I got my Rame med veneta and today the Roma, I had such obsessive desire to get them that I could not concentrate on anything else... I actually started worrying that I am going crazy or something.

I have never been addicted to anything - never smoked, never did any drugs, never even got drunk in my life. I dont even drink cofee. However with bags it has been getting worse and worse this last year.

It usually goes like this: I find a bag that I love, and I start obsessing. It is usually either incredibly expensive for me or out of stock, in other words it is very difficult to get. So I start the search and go crazy either trying to find a cheaper price or trying to find it available somewhere. Then after a while I get so obsessed all I can think of is the bag. Finally I buy the bag one way or another. When I wait for it to come I feel very happy. However, at the same time, I also start looking around.

I feel like a bag slut!!! When the bag arrives I am usually slightly disappointed, except in rare cases, and I convince myself that it is great, it is what I wanted. I enjoy the bag for a while, but in the meantime I find another and the cycle begins again.

Often I really cant afford another bag, so, I decide which ones will pay for the newbie and once I decide which ones will go I lose all interest in them, and put them into my OTHER closet where the rejects sit, and wait to be sold. So far I have been quite successful selling the "rejects" who once used to be the objects of my desire.

THis whole time I feel I am on a quest for a perfect brand/bag. It is getting exponentially more expensive every time, but now I am in love with the BV. I want it to be my last stop, because I am so tired of this ride, and just want to have few beloved items I wear for years. So far the only brand I cherish and keep and will never let go is the Ferragamo saffiano collection. The saffiano kelly style bag was my obsession for four years. This was back in time, where 1000 bag seemed impossible to obtain. I pray that BV will be my last stop where I find my loyalty, and stop obsessing. I also made a pledge that I wont buy new bags until I am 35 ( I am 32 turning 33 in two months).

Anyway, I had to share this with somebody, because I hope that may be some of you can relate to this. I am really worried that I am obsessed, what if I am clinically obsessed??? I know we joke about this, but is this healthy?
