doreenjoy - great recipe. I think I mght have to sample some of yours before trying to make it myself. What time is dinner? BookerMoose - Las Vegas here I come! I definitely want to go for the Vegas Trip. Wish it were held during sales time. boxermom - we are pretty much finished with gift shopping, and mailing. Now that we are in the "new to us" house, we are hosting dinner. My family, who lives in this area, decided that cleaning their homes is impossible and they want to come here again. This time, everyone is bringing the food, or cooking here. I don't plan to lift a finger after the Thanksgiving dinner we prepared and hosted. I really don't mind having everyone over here.

^^Where are you going to eat in MB? I will be leaving Myrtle Beach on Christmas Eve to go to Maryland. My brother and sister will be hosting in their respective homes. Should be interesting though. I'm hoping that we'll be feeling better before the trip. We've both been sick for a while now. Happy Holidays to everyone and be safe.

In MB, we've eaten at Greg Norman's Australian Grill near Barefoot Landing a couple times and it's been very good. so I thought we could try it again. Have you been there? I want to see the Market Common too even though it's way down by the airport. Maybe the B&N is larger than the one in Wilmington. I love bookstores. |

jane, your sweaters are beautiful. Glad your hubby is headed home. I used to like the 'break" when my girls were young and hubby was away but now that it's just me and the dog and it gets lonely when he's out of town.

^^I have not been to Greg Norman's place yet, although I have been invited a few times via work functions.
We just recently got a Ruth's Chris Steak House at the Grande Dunes Marina, but I haven' been there either. Have you tried The Library downtown MB, or Collector's Cafe (around 76th Avenue - business 17)? The Barnes and Nobles at the Market Common is large. Not sure if it's bigger than yours though. There is a Gordon Biersch Restaurant, PF Chang's and a nice Italian restaurant, Travalini's maybe. I ate there once and it was very good. Not sure of the spelling though. Still no high end boutiques. Highlights include Williams Sonoma, Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn. There are many little trendy shops there as well. There have room for more, but they were not occupied when I was there last. Oh, there is a Tommy Bahama Restaurant there too. I haven't eaten there so I don't know if it's good or not. Have fun! |

Piperlu, my brother and my sister in law live in Myrtle Beach and we are coming for a visit in April! My brother plays the piano in a piano bar there, makes a very good living as a professional musician, which I guess I could have seen coming given how much he played piano when I was a kid.

^^That's great Jane! Myrtle Beach is a great place to vacation. I have been to a few of the piano bars here and they're always wonderful. I'm sure your brother must be very good at what he does. Also, a plus is that he enjoys it! |

Hey, if you're bored one day, contact us and we can have a mini-PF get together. Debbie, thanks for the other ideas. Can you believe I've never eaten at a Ruth's Chris Steak House? I see ads in magazines, esp. the airline ones, all the time. Have eaten at PF Chaing's, though. We'll have to try the others. I've eaten in another T. Bahama restaurant and it's what you would expect--ok food with the tropical theme. |

The pacific nw is currently being blizzarded. Snow has been falling since 2pm in my town, already accumulated a lot, no end in sight. Very fine, cold powder, just piling up. I really want to go walk in it with the dog!! Not til after dinner.
Tonight I made a batch of Martha Stewart peppermint brownies, and made that tandoori chicken again. Made a huge amount since we will be snowed in for a while. |
