Here is the bag I bought at the Chicago store last week!

It's made of the buttersoft lambskin and has an open flap top that can be somewhat closed. It's a medium sized bag but looks roomy because the base is wide and it opens completely. The leather isn't slouchy--I think it's meant to "stand up".

Dimensions are 10" wide, 8" high, base is 7" deep. The strap drop is only 6" so unless you are slender/petite, it won't be a shoulder bag. Online, the Early Fall catalog has photos of this bag in 3 colors on pp. 60-61.

This Lilac seems a little bit darker than the woven style bags for some reason.

Oh my, boxermom!! I think I saw this design at the boutique and thought it was ingenious. The combination of woven leather and smooth leather and their placements are just so lovely!!

Congrats on the beautiful addition to your lovely collection!

i love this design when i first see it at the catalog. now you are making me tempted.

I love this color Pat. It appears that the lilac color is more saturated in the buttersoft. It seems lighter in the woven veneta. Is that correct?

Congratulations, it's a beautiful bag, and the darker tone makes it eben more richer. I think it'll work great with your fall wardrobe as well as in summer.

Color me embarrassed! This is Grape, not Lilac, as I was told in the store!

I was told Lilac and because it's mostly smooth rather than woven, I thought that's why it looks darker. duh--I just pulled out the color code and it's 6006 for Grape. Gosh, now do I need to find something in Lilac, too??

Obviously, I haven't assembled my Fall color code list yet, but I need to get cracking.

p.s. doloresmia, dh is sleeping now, as he has every aftrnoon. The feeling is coming back into his arm, and that's very uncomfortable, but the pain is at a manageable level. Thanks for your concern. (to others: June 30, dh went to ER with extreme pain/weakness/numbness in R shoulder/arm and can't do much of anything)

leilani, the retail is $1450.

Love the grape and the detail of the bag is just wonderful! Did you happen to see the double zip wallet, as it does come in lilac? Just a thought.....

I have been looking at the grape CC case.

I'm kind of relieved that this one is actually grape. Now I can somewhat tell the difference between the two, and I do prefer this to lilac.
