Besides the Cabat, are there are other styles that will never go on sale?

I am sure it has been mentioned before so I apologize for repeating the question once more...

I think the Knot too - could be wrong about that. And the classics in the classic colours (unless the classic colour is being discontinued, like Noce recently).

All of that is for the BV boutiques only, of course - department stores seem to discount anything and everything (although only the boutiques carry the Cabat).

So I guess the end result is that the only bag that is NEVER on sale ANYWHERE is the Cabat.

I was also told that the knot would not go on sale (along with the Cabat) - but I was told this by the BV boutique. I know Neiman's and Sak's will discount everything they have to clear out their inventory... This practice got them in some hot water with Chanel a few years back, but apparently all is forgiven because Chanel still stocks them up.

The old Ball Bag doesn't go on sale in classic colors. Have seen it at the outlet in seasonal colors. Did go on sale in Noce last May. The new Ball Bag I have seen on sale...
Classic Veneta in Ebano & Nero do not go on sale.

The SM at my boutique told me that the ebano and nero Venetas would be included in the 20% off cancer card event in late October. That the LE bags, the knot clutches, and the cabat were not included, but that all others were, even the classic Venetas.

I have seen a Cabat go on sale (25% off) at one of the BV boutiques here in Asia.

This is probably a rare exception to the general rule that they never get discounted and they likely apply to Cabats in seasonal colors since what I saw 10 days ago was Cobalt. Just wanted to share for info...

I think the Cancer Card is an exception and I wouldn't consider that an actual 'sale'... You do have to pay for the card.

The card is a $60-$80 charitable donation, and in my case they'll end up discounting my chosen bag by about $1.2K.

I'm sorry I wasn't clearer. I'm a new fan of BV, so I really wasn't trying to make a statement about company practices or standards. I just wanted to pass on the information from my boutique in case someone in my area might want a bag that normally isn't available at a 20% discount. The SM was very clear that the nero and ebano Venetas hardly ever get discounted.

Thank you all for your input.

I am lusting after some non-Cabats but considering the sometimes ridiculous mark downs during sales, so far I cannot see any reason to buy one of those bags as soon as they hit the shelves. Not sure if the Swiss BV stores 'play' along with the sales but the internet is full of good deals and one can always visit THE outlet in Italy directly...

It is a shame though, to me this does hurt the brand image somewhat but who knows, maybe BV will add more bags to the non-sale list in the future.

Snapped this photo 2 days ago when I was at the Singapore airport. While it is not on sale now, they were offering it at a slight discount (10-15%... I don't remember) 2-3 months ago at the height of the BV sale. But again, perhaps that was a one-off thing... and clearly no one bought it.
